The only game in town this weekend as far as I'm concerned. You can head down to North Port Oval (or whatever they call it these days) or watch live on 7 or listen to 3SER Casey Radio.

Good for you. I'm seeking positive outcomes; not seeing it yet Binman. I think it will be 7-8 months away tbh.

This is gonna be a tough one for the boys, Richmond have almost a full list and with them in the AFL finals, they basically all qualify.

Should be an entertaining game at the very least.

With the finals now here the funk has well and truly returned. Round 1 2018 seems a very long time away

Here's the side:

B: 37. D. Johnstone, 25. D. Gordon, 64. A. Brayshaw

HB: 9. M. Gent, 83. T. Bugg, 6. J. Munro

C: 69. B. Kennedy, 54. J. Trengove, 59. J. Spencer

HF: 45. D. Keilty, 1. J. Hutchins, 15. B. Stretch

F: 26. S. Weideman, 48. C. Maynard, 42. J. Wagner

R: 34. M. King, 57. J. Kennedy-Harris, 2. B. Fritsch

Int: 23. M. Cox, 55. L. Hulett, 5. D. Collis, 35. A. Ferreira, 17. E. Morris, 51. B. Giobbi, 7. Y. Zijai, 27. A. Scott 23P: 72. M. Lefau

In: B. Giobbi, M. Lefau, M. Cox, A. Ferreira, D. Gordon Out: W. Collis

I think we were too top heavy last week, so would have Ferreira in for Hulett.

 And Richmond's side:

B: 42. R. Garthwaite, 53. H. Beasley, 11. J. Batchelor

HB: 28. T. Hunt, 51. S. Darley, 15. J. Short

C: 31. O. Markov, 29. S. Bolton, 37. C. Menadue

HF: 32. C. Ellis, 27. S. Lloyd, 38. S. Morris

F: 44. T. Stengle, 24. B. Griffiths, 36. C. Moore

R: 16. S. Hampson, 7. B. Lennon, 26. A. Miles

Int: 20. I. Maric, 47. I. Soldo, 41. M. Chol, 64. T. Silvestro, 78. D. Coffield, 57. B. Wood, 54. J. Ballard, 30. R. Conca 23P: 69. S. Mannagh

Plenty of senior experience in this side, including 3 giant ruckmen in Hampson,  Maric and Soldo, as well as Chol at 198cm. King and Spencer will have their work cut out, as will the defence. Expect Kielty to go to the resting ruck, and the skipper to take Griffiths.

Looking forward to seeing Lefau play again he was pretty good a few weeks ago as 23rd man. Also great to see Jimmy Munro recover to be available after last week's knock.

Nice place to watch footy at.

What is the admission price for Mfc members.

If I recall the $5 deal only applies to the home and away games.

Would be good to see a strong performance... Frankly any glimpse of good news would be welcome

Last week was $15. No discount for members in finals so I'd imagine it'd be the same this week

It will be tough But we have a Chance........Go Casey................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow scares me.

Richmond have a very strong team, and they will absolutely be feeding off the Tigers win tonight, especially since those boys will be fighting for a spot in an AFL prelim.

Casey are gonna have to bring everything to win this game.

Looks better in a team with some positions I can actually read. Should still be a strong Casey side if the rucks can break even and the midfield fires.

But the backline will struggle with the Richmond forwards and the Casey forward line has been hit and miss for most of the year and lacks depth.

Given Casey haven't really looked like a serious contender this year and Richmond's AFL listed players have a heap to play for I'd imagine the Tigers will win pretty comfortably.

Well the game will be on TV, and given how the Tigers are travelling there might be a large amount of opposition supporters there.

But North Port Oval (or whatever it's called these days) is a fantastic ground to spectate so if the weather is alright, I'd definitely go down.

Plus good chances you'll run into a few of the regular senior players and/or coaches who will be there.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
