Trade rumours

Lever to Dees, Trengove to Dogs, Kelly to re-sign, these are certain.

Hawks are making a big play for Whitfield and are waiting for Board approval to be able to offer up the player that will be required to possibly get the deal done. If the Board approves, it will be Rioli & Duryea for Whitfield.

Rioli?  I think they'd be lynched by the fans if they did that.

Tom McDonald played a few good games as a forward and it seems people now believe that Weed should be moved on? If I have learnt anything from my time at demonland it's that posters put way too much weight on a few good performances from individuals

If his first half against Box Hill didn't show you why he was rated so highly then I can't help you.

Lol.

I saw Bruce McAvaney looking at real estate in Western Sydney so it must be true. He said the region was special but I think he was exaggerating a touch.

Because it's complete and utter rubbish.  It's not a rumour, it's garbage.

Shout out to @Lucifer's Hero who is never far away from a like when someone takes a pot shot in my direction.  Good to see you, too.

Only when they refer to your comments that are OTT, insulting to a poster or are high horsed about something.  Don't know why you signalled me out - others respond the same way to similar posts but whatever.

..tbh I'm surprised anyone tracks the likes to their own posts, let alone likes to other people's posts about them but whatever.

Stupid and ridiculous comments on here

How is Charlie Curnow going ? Some  Posters on here seem to think potential is more important than reality. That is rediculous!

Different circumstance and traits have allowed Curnow to show 'more' than Weideman at this stage.

I don't know why that's so difficult to see.

If you were to ask anyone at the club, they'd say the same thing and I'm sure they would have expected to see Curnow play more regular footy than Weed early on.

Context is everything in this argument.

Weideman will be much better placed to play more regular football next year but I don't think we'll see big inroads made until 2019 from Sam.

So because one player has developed a little quicker than another, then you get rid of them?

Ah the normal anger/tanties that get thrown in the thread about trade rumours is bloody hilarious.

I read some, think utter shite and move on. I enjoy the crazy left field "rumours".

if people don't post where they heard/got the info I hold it as .01%, if they post it as I heard it from a second hand source, 1%.

If they have proven good info before 10%.

That way I'm not going to be annoyed if they don't come true.

Makes this thread more interesting.

Yep you sure do or you dont select them in tbe first place as projects

This club has zero ability to develop players and  should leave it  to those who have shown that they can

Only a different opinion to you

I'm happy for a difference of opinion but you need to have a basis for it.

The players weren't developed well in the past but the calibre of the kids we have and how quickly they are developing in the last few years would be the envy of most clubs.  In conjunction with this you have also seen more experienced players get better also.

If we take your thinking Gawn would have been delisted after his 2nd year.

Hunt and Jetta said to say hello and thanks for not being the list manager when they were recruited.

No one cares abour your feelings

The Whitfield to Hawks has legs but I have heard it was Poppy and others - including Duryea - they were looking to package up

FWIW it sounds like fan-made pipe dreaming, trading two-three B-graders for one A-grader

It doesn't happen in reality these days

Lachie Whitfield has apparently just signed for two years with the Giants.

Here is the confirmation, DJ.  http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-09-13/gun-giant-extends-his-deal-until-2020

He has extended to end of 2020.

Constantly baffles me to see posters get so worked up about a "rumours" thread.

Especially if the poster is relatively new to the place, let them build up credits or demerit points before writing them off.

If Whitfield stays then I reckon Kelly goes. What of Connor's management staff told a friend last week that kelly would go to North. Another Connor leak

Wow.

You're okay to let Weideman keep spudding it up until 2019 now.

Don't get me wrong, I wish him all the best fortune for a successful and long career at the MFC but your double-standards and contextualisation of the current circumstances only leads to hypotheticals of which the above post is chock-a-block full of.

Can you rephrase that OD, I have no idea what you are trying to say.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
