Played well last night, but noticed he pulled out of two contests and that is something Goodwin doesn't like.

Wonder if he is on our radar. He is apparently on good money and that could be a problem.

Motlop is a bigtime one way running and a constant contest shirker.  Agree with your observations

Did you or anyone happen to catch a recent AFL 360 segment with Lynch? I heard he was criticised on social media for being extremely flakey and non-commital to GCS?

I watched that too. It was at the players MVP awards night when Slobbo asked him about his contract. Particularly cringeworthy I thought.

Based on that interview I would hedge my bets on him leaving the Suns.

Seems to vary his output considerably. Not absolute sure as to how he would fit it..As PstD suggest..I'll leave it with the FD

My inclination is to steer clear. Probably better offerings elsewhere

Don't know if this is realistic, but I would be searching late in the draft for a Garlett type kid.

Pace and goal sense and who might develop in the right environment.

Not sure that Johnstone is that player from what I have seen, admittedly in my limited viewing of him. JKH is not really that type as well. Tigers have 2 in the reserves and most good sides have a couple.

Interesting hearing Scott claim that Cats fans were kidding themselves if they thought getting to a Prelim meant just needing to top up and get a little better next year. Then there's this strong talk of GAJ going back to the Cats at age 68 or whatever he is. Not exactly what I thought was meant when Scott said "go back to the start again", but I guess he meant go back to GAJ!

Should we be avoiding the APS-AGS ??  Seems just a lot of kids..( as youd expect ) but all far too green around the gills .

Setting himself up for a few down years and another contract even if they struggle...

would be a great addition

That 25-40 goal defensive forward is a must have in the scheme of things.......if  Bugg could kick straight could he be such a player?

Gold Coast are weak if they send ablett to geelong I would make the sook play out his contract or put him into retirement

No, they need him outa there, like the dogs & stringer, us & watts. etc.

Some just hold the momentum back.

They may play well in themselves, but sometimes they just aren't team oriented onfield.

If the won't row the team boat, seeya.

Bugg is not that type. I mean the pacy opportunist type, think Betts, Cameron, Garlett, Cockatoo, Motlop, Cyril, McDonald-Tipungwuti.

Am told that Rockliff is not the sort of guy you want at the club.

can you PM me? I know he Had, issues, when he started years ago.

Rumour going around that its Watts + pick 10 to Collingwood for their pick 6 to on trade to Crows.

If that happens its a 1st and 3rd round pick for Lever, which is fair IMO. (as long as he's not on $900k per year).

So Pies get Watts for a 4 spot drop in round 1. Gee.

Don't need to PM you. Was told he is not one of the guys and has issues getting along with his team mates.

The purpose of the image was to highlight things are not always as portrayed.

Cook , arguably one of the most curious of all draftings looked like X...played like Y.

Weed , lauded as this that and the other must surely be one of our most speculative selections ever all based on much extrapolation of his much younger potential.

Both round 1 selections.

The comparison i use is they are both likely to be categorised as poor returns when looked back upon.

Its my view and i own it, that his selection was foolhardy and ill concieved.

We stuffed up with Cook and i see little in Weed to get excited about.

Each to their own

Sorry mate, I can't agree re Weideman.

Handled the right way, he will be a beaut.

Handled the wrong way & we could end up with another watts.

Its the same for almost any player.

Last season was the equivalent of Weids TAC final year.  This is the equivalent of his first AFL club year, a bit like Hogan being taken as an U-17.

So I look at it like he has just completed his first season on an AFL list.

I am hopeful of a very good season in 2018 from Sam Weideman.

Unsure of final details and bits n pieces thrown around, I'd imagine they get something from Crows? As I said, was just a rumour I saw on Twitter this morning, think it came from Nixon so grain of salt (as with every rumour).

The Filth would be laughing at that deal. They get a free player for nothing.

Let's hope this is no more than a rumour

Jack Higgins redleg, a hybrid of what I think your looking for.

Fair enough. That was the early knock on him, almost a bit like Moloney ended up as with the Dees. Finger pointer.

Oh dear. I think you should pre-empt any rumour with the source. Then we can just ignore the details.

It has as much backbone as any other rumour, which is zero.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
