Nice to see Petracca lift in the 2nd half

Brayshaw building nicely.  Great decision making and hits targets by foot.

6 Pederson

5. Melksham - I have long railed against the selection of Melksham.  I have seen more games over the last 4 weeks and he has just been better and better.  I cannot wait to talk those who have been traded with the worlds most rabid Essendon supporter this week

3. Hogan

1. Lewis

And I add that the thought of giving a player who kicked 6 goals, only 3 votes suggests I am much happier about the Dees than I have been for a long long time

What's laughable is my own early season opinion that Melksham is not much good.

How can their opinion be wrong Clint? Surely an opinion is just an opinion. Its called freedom to express thoughts and ideas. Because you and others don't agree with them it doesn't mean they are necessarily wrong. I think it was Jean Jacques Rousseau who said, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" Or something similar. Did some research and it wasn't Rousseau but an English author Evelyn Hall who wrote  it in a biography of French philosopher Voltaire. The meaning is still the same though who ever said it.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
