Agreed. And they have managed to take top end talent and make it second rate. There was a time when Jack Martin was going to be the next sensation.

the real concern is what the AFL will do to prop up Brisbane and GC from a playing viewpoint not to mention financially.

GC is a basket case. With the Commonwealth games next year they will be without a stadium for much of the year just to make things more difficult.

Hard to see how the AFL could have got it more wrong than putting a team on the Gold Coast.

Would have been around 40 meters out almost straight in front. In hindsight he definitely shouldn't have played on haha

Brad Scott keeps saying he'll coach North as long as they want him. Either he or the players (or both) are doing their best to ensure that the club don't want him any longer!!!

Three games today involving three of our direct competitors for spots in the eight. They are all possibilities of upsets too.

Richmond vs Brisbane (Etihad)

Freo vs West Coast 

Carlton vs W Bulldogs (MCG)

Freo beating West Coast is the most likely.  Carlton will find it hard without Cripps, though they are playing with some spirit, and the Dogs are struggling.  Brisbane beat Essendon two weeks ago at the same ground, so they have the capability to roll the TIgers.

Unlikely all three upsets will happen, but even just one of them happening will be good for us.

Have to give credit where credit is due:  Dangerfield!

He couldn't walk but kicks 5.6 (most after the injury) leading to the ball.  He single handedly won the game - Geelong won by just 3 points.  He is tough as - has played many games this year with bruised ribs.  Constantly plays with extreme pain. 

As a player has it all: extremely talented, fast, tough, fair.   As a person he seems intelligent and honest.

If he wins the brownlow it will be very well deserved.  He is one of the best sporting and football role models going round.  Has few peers at the moment.
