Has Adelaide beaten anyone of note this year?  Looks like  hawks win.

Holy Fun. Could 17th beat 1st again even though it had never happened until Blues beat Giants 2 weeks ago.

Hawks have played well tonight,  Danger signs.

Makes our game so much more important. Every game is a top 4 / miss the finals game

We gotta win on Saturday night. It's so important. 

Hawks win. This match devalues our win over Adelaide in my eyes, but also shows our game style is the right way to play. When we belted them I thought we'd knocked off an unbeatable team at their home ground. Seeing them lose to a poor team in Hawthorn tonight purely because they can't handle defensive pressure shows them up as a average-good side. They won't be doing much damage come finals time if they can't handle this pressure.

It bodes well for us though as we are the best at putting on defensive pressure. Our game style will stand up in finals. That's exciting.

A positive is our best win has been on the road.  The boys this year seem have finally develop that mental edge, as evident again the dogs last week. 

Was saying even before their first loss that Adelaide were soft front runners. First sign of real pressure and they crumble with no fightback.  Hawks when on can still apply master class pressure.

Just reinforces the thinking that all we have to do is get into the finals and we have a big chance. Adelaide at home is not scary in a final.

Least of all for us, who have already done it once. Our game against them in a couple of weeks will be very interesting to say the least... 

The most open season I can remember, even more so than 1990.

Yes most open season from living memory so that is why I am so [censored] off with our injury list. Get Gawn back but lose Jones and Watts in the one week, 2 players who have missed very few games in the past 6 to 10 years. What are the odds? This is the year to keep a full list and have a real crack in the finals. But no not this year for us!
