10 frees to 22.

they got 220% of the frees that we got. I hope Nicholls has a backup career as it is only a matter of time until he gets the sack for the putrid job he does

Without the histrionics....

Weid MUST go back to Casey. Oscar Mc as well.

We need our best footballers in. No more games on potential.

That game was there for the taking. They had lead in their legs and we pizzed it away.

We are missing Gawn and Hogan so very, very badly.

I think the club should petition the AFL to not have Nicholls ever umpire a Melbourne game again. I am not one to usually lay blame on the umpires, but Nicholls cost us the game today. No doubt.

Lewis pretty average today also....[censored] weak effort Demons....losing the match in the first quarter then trying to make a game of it after.  So predictable when a win was in the offing and going in as favorites. Had a chance for finals and blew it

Bugg should never play for Melbourne again. Wasted so many good build ups.

He flubbed stuff, at least he had the opportunity to do that. Kent is the worry for mine.

I don't know about never play again. But Bugg should remain at Casey as a depth player, and only be called on if we really need him. There is no position for Bugg in this side. He isn't a great kick, and he cannot break into the midfield. I think both Bugg and Melksham should remain in the VFL. They may look above the VFL, but they aren't good AFL players.

Our kids try.

But they don't have enough leadership on the field.

I appreciate all of Watts hard work when the rucks went down. But hes not tough enough. Weid is just a kid. Hannan will be good.

Very disappointing. No one flew the flag

This type of umpiring happens every time Nicholls is umpiring our matches. I hope we request him to no longer umpire our matches. Bias [censored] who puts every 50/50 call against us. His been doing it for a while

Beyond furious with that effort. Walked out with 3 mins left to play & don't care who calls me a bad supporter. [censored] useless.

Garry Lyon said "Melbourne get too comfortable, and only turn up when they are confronted with a challenge".

I agreed with it then, and even more so now.

Twice today, we meekly coughed up a 4 goal lead, got a rocket, and responded. And ultimately couldn't overcome the lead we allowed North to take.

But you know we will. . Thought the targeting of Higgins was part of the problem in the 1st. Lost a bit of focus and in the end did not unsettle Higgins enough. although I think he kicked 4 points.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
