RalphiusMaximus 6,112 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 I don't agree on The Weed. He didn't get many touches, but he chased, tackled and crashed packs all night. He found ways to get involved. He wasn't amazing by any means, but he did the job we needed him to do.
Northern Summer 292 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Not sure how Kent justified his recall. Didn't do much. Will give him benefit of the doubt that it's his first hit-out back. Tyson didn't start well but ended up being reasonably good.

Geee a bit tough, collectively this unit gelled! hard to criticise anyone on tonights performance!
deelete my account 1,194 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Garlett read the ball in flight like no one else on the field. His goals were a valuable and timely contribution.

His tackling was a big improvement and a highlight, but he was still average at best tonight. Two holding the balls when he should have easily got a disposal. However, he didn't let Talia have much of an impact which was also a positive considering what Hurley and Rance did to us.

WattsUp2312 63 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Jack Watts - much more involved than credit given Tyson's tacking was immense today. Iv been a critic but he went up in my estimations this evening! awesome Dees!

Did you notice him not go for the ball, in the incident where he got a free for deliberate in the last quarter? He is great for us, but he has his cautious moments.
Demons 32 235 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Apart from 2 obvious turnovers, Tyson was really good tonight, applied great pressure, ran to space and had very important involvements.
old55 23,860 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Clayton Oliver has justifiably got great credit this year for his sensational play. I want to add Christian Petracca - what an incredible talent! He did some unbelievable things tonight.
In Harmes Way 7,869 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 I thought Hannan had a pretty good game tonight es well. Did some nice things. Oscar got caught out on Josh Jenkins a couple of times, apart from that a great team effort and Googy had a cracker as well.

Forest Demon 4,681 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Weideman's tackling was so strong and effective. I can barely remember him having a disposal, but for a young player, who is clearly out of form and struggling at the level, you couldn't have asked for much more.
Adzman 2,154 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Kent- brings the mongrel I will be the first to say I didn't think he deserved a recall, and I don't think he was outstanding. What I did notice watching the game is that kent brings aggression around every contest and even off the ball. He is for the lack of a better word a pr!ck to play against. He aggression was contagious, and it caught on with his team mates (Weeds tackling was impressive).
chook fowler 19,769 Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Not one player deserves any criticism - they gave their all and each played their role.

All the contests when JKH was getting outmarked the last few weeks, kent actually jumps at it and brings it to ground. His off ball work was good all night and he sets the tone for aggression in an area of the field that has lacked some. With the ball, 20 touches and 2 goals is a good small forward's game. If he could kick set shots he could have had 3. Not sure why he doesnt run left in run up as he has a huge hook and always hits the right behind post
