When we beat Adelaide, I will...

Be annoyed that we are so weak that we require a loss we shouldn't have had to motivate us.... again.

Oath.

So over this scenario. Seems to be a recurring dream

I actually think we match up well with Adelaide, despite what a lot of people think. We've performed well each of the past 3-4 times we've played them. They've certainly improved but so have we. If we go down by more than 3-4 goals I'll be surprised and very disappointed.

Teams are going to run out of gas at different stages throughout the year with all of this frenetic running.  Not sure Adelaide were exposed - simply that 5-10% drop off in this comp will kill you. (Note our first half last week).

They are beatable, but they will want to 'redeem themselves' from last week.  I expect them to come out hard.  Jacobs is a big worry, as he will be difficult to cover as the chop out mark, drifting forward for a sneaky mark and as a big body in the ruck.

However, if we cut off supply, their forward line could be Plugger, Dunstall and Dermie,  If they dont get it, they cant kick it.  We have to hold our defensive structures and not get sucked too high.  We have to win the midfield, and halve the contests when they have the ball.  We need to find better ways inside 50.  We need to play for the whole game.

Then we can win!

When we do, I'll donate 10,000 days of access to water to a communities in Africa.  Go Dees.

Couple of years ago now, but I want to see this physicality again.

If we win I'll pretend I'm Bernie Vince and one of my mates can be Patrick Dangerfield.

a joy to watch...Come back Bernie ( the real one )  Love the troops rallying..

Some real spirit...where's it gone ?

Melbourne to beat Adelaide in Adelaide??? Yeah right a lot of delusion here.Won't happen in a million years. We will get absolutely flogged big time.Biggest loss of the year coming up methinks!. If we cannot beat Freo, Richtank et all we will not get within lightyears of Adelaide. Period!

I'm not sure North exposed any glaring weakness. It's an incredibly difficult oval to play at down there, the first quarter was almost identical to ours last year. Adelaide couldn't adjust and pull them back like we did.

Playing Adelaide in perfect conditions at AO is a whole different story.

Another slow start and we're staring down the barrel of an absolute belting. I'm not looking forward to it.

If we beat Adelaide I will... delete this post.

The conditions in the Crows game were absolutely nothing like our match there last year. I was at ground level at our game, and have never seen a footy float like it did for the teams kicking in to the wind that day.

Chalk it up as recovering one the two losses to Hawthorn and Freo that shouldn't have happened.

Then sing the song very quietly buried in the cheer squad and take off my jumper for the walk back to the hotel.

Really? You could hardly accuse the dees of not showing spirit this year. yes there has been 2 or 3 quarters where we have not been switched on but never for a match.

Its our skills that have been letting us down not our intensity.

got em at $6.50.

winning this one would be completely on par for us after dropping last weeks game

…realise that we’ve been at least equal in the last quarter of every game this year and our victory is not that surprising after all.

If we beat Adelaide then I will be more stressed out  the week after because we will favourites. We really couldn't beat an egg.

The fact is most of us knew we'd lose to Hawthorn, we always lose when we're supposed to win, we're so screwed up mentally and that is most frustrating thing about being a [censored] Melbourne supporter. Although we could go alright against Crows I don't think we will, like Hawthorn we've got them on the rebound from a shocking loss, Crows will win but it won't be a total thrashing but will be 30-40 points.

I reckon you need to settle down a little, Davo. You were positive in the first few rounds and having a go at others for being negative and that's all you've been most of this week.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
