What am i missing here?

He missed a training session and is internally suspended by the leadership group.

Awhile ago he was caught drink driving and pretty much gets off scot-free.

So putting lives in danger is nothing and missing training is a big no no.

There must be more to this.

Drink driving was pre finals

As much as it hurts they are still F1 quality. Return of Roughy should also boost their stocks

Hawks will go down everone does,  port are bottom 4 with what they have dished up in preseason, their attitude is non interested,  so with the hawks I think they are at the same level as last year they have not improved or gotten worse,  now whether they fall or not depends on how many teams go past them.

There's hope for Tim Smith in that result. Hope he isn't left on rookie list to rot. Could be difference between finals and not if he gets a decent run.

Weakest three flags ever, won it in a watered down comp when the lower-mid ranked teams were hurt badly by the plethora of top picks given to GWS and GCS.

May their demise last for decades.

They have their rivals, Brisbane the salary cap preferential treatment triple-premiership team.

Just two triple-premierships in 60 years, and both are at least a little tainted.

The only answer, of course, is to win a fresh set of our own, to restore dignity to the achievement.

Burgoyne is 35 this year, Gibson and Hodge 33 - they need all three to be at their best.  Smith, Birchall, Duryea, Whitecross etc look like good ordinary footballers without them.

Hodgey is a legend so he's allowed to drink drive and that.

Drink and drive and you're all sweet, miss a training session and you're a bloody idiot.

Would be interested to know your thoughts if we go and win 3 straight under Goodwin.

AFL funded PJ and Roos, 1 of which is still in his post, and the other has his fingerprints all over what is happening at present.

I wouldn't give a toss if anyone claimed ours as being "tainted" (as per Little Goffy's comments), and I'm sure as hell that Hawthorn and/or Brisbane supporters care either.

What evidence is there that the AFL funded them ?

My understanding is that the AFL "strongly suggested" that the Club employ PJ to help clean up the mess but that his & Roos' salary were paid for by the MFC.

As much evidence as saying that the Hawks' 3 were in a watered down comp, and that the Lions' 3 were because of COLA.

We will all believe what we want, but there are 2 things that are certain;

1. Premierships are bloody hard to win

2. I will celebrate any MFC premiership, and will be quite arrogant about it, regardless of what other teams think

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. Firstly the bad news - McVee went down late, which does look like a bad hammy - towards the end of match sim, as he kicked the ball. Had to

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
