That's a really bad photoshop job.

Haha they all are this time of year! I think the regular guys are on holidays and they rush these out for the fans.

Kinda has a bit of turtle about it...

" I looked at every Club in the competition and after going through every list, Melbourne was the one that stood out – if I wasn’t going to be at Hawthorn. It was clear to me that I wanted to play for the Melbourne Football Club" Jordan Lewis on why he joined Melbourne from MFC website.

It is nice to hear someone say things like this after many years in the wilderness. And to think people think Roos did nothing for this club!

Fantastic deal for the club in every respect. Welcome to the club Jordan, I'm really looking forward to seeing you in the red & blue jumper next year.

I thought he had a bit more bulk. Looks like half the kids we used to draft.

That gives me tingles.

Welcome Jordan!

4 time premiership player, ex vice captain of the most dominant team of the last decade to help lead our young blokes to the next level.

That's a handy pick up.

We probably got a skinny model to pose for a stock photo for all our new draftees etc from 2006 onwards.

I resisted posting until this was real. This is a fantastic result for the club. Lewis as well as being an incredibly high quality footballer is a leader and will become the on field coach we so need. Great work from all involved and a big welcome to the MFC Jordan

I've been watching the bloke in the bottom right for the last 7 minutes hoping someone would just high 5 him.

Absolutely stoked with this this, Lewis has been a champ for a long time, hard at it and classy player. Yeah he's getting towards the end but still has some good footy left particularly considering his 2nd half of the year and Qualifying Final game. Jones will be rapt to have someone to help shoulder the load while the you'd mids come through. Guys like Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca, Viney will love having a guy around to learn from who has walked the walk.

Seems bizarre, we picked him up for a late-40's and late-60s slide of 11 places in the draft in total!!!

Wow!

Tick!
Now let's finalise those deals for Hibberd, Fyfe, Rockliff, Tippett and Zac Dawson by Thursday deadline and I'll be very happy

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
