Well, I'll go against the grain.

6: Tyson

5: Watts

4: Gawn

3: Stretch

2: Jetta

1: Frost

Surely the most frustrating game I've seen in years.

Watts - His best game for the club

Tyson - At the contest all day. Unobtrusive but a gun.

VDB - Best game for the year. Took a very strong mark. Avenue to goal.

Stretch. Nice outside run. Looked like his old man at times.

Petracca - Geez this kid has class.

O mac . Showed why the selectors have stuck with him.

Seems like we say that every week.  Hes really having a great season.  Will be disappointed if he doesn't get his first top 5 finish in the B and F.

6. Watts. Nothing more needs to be said

5. Tyson. Another really good inside mid game. Great hands in close and a couple nice kicks. Yes got caught badly once but looked to be the only mid who held his own against a team of nobodies

4. Frost. No goals from the other two talls for the Suns plus some great rebounding runs. Love his pace and competitiveness

3. VDB. I think he is still better as a mid but has solid hands over his head which is why he is played as 4th tall most game then rotates through for bursts. In form is best 22 bur probably didn't deserve to be there this week but showed us all why he is rated

2. Gawn. Should have polled higher but have no idea where he was tapping the pill today. Hit Suns boys a bit to frequently but was still solid

1. T-Mac. odd I know but I rate Lynch so highly. Would have him over any other forward in the league and Tommy ran with him all game and held him to two.

Top 5?

On course to win it I think.

I agree.  Will be a close thing between Jack W, Max and Jack V.  If Watts continues he will get it.  What a great day that would be!

Also like your avatar WD - that guy was gonna be anything before being struck by injury.

So happy 3 players I have had worries about previously have 'stuck it up me'

Watts continues to confirm his potential has finally been realised and Sam and Oscar are continuing to reduce their weekly clangers and improve their decision making in recent matches. Wasn't overly excited by the teams effort today but all credit to those 3

6 - Watts

5 - Tyson

4 - Vanders

3 -Frost

2 - Stretch (very impressive game, wish he'd get it 25-30 times a game, we'd be a much better team)

1- OMac

edit: forgot Vanders (votes adjusted)

6 Watts... yes clearly BOG

5 Frost... Developing very well. Skills need improvement though.

4 Tyson...got it and was the best midfielder clearly

3 Stretch... run run Billy run

2 Vandenburg... got the goals when others forget that is the reason

1 Jetta ...steady once again except when he and t.mcd contested a mark

Apologies to big Maxy.

O.mcd was okay but still clangers, bodied out in marking contests and his weak handballs reflect poor intensity.

B. Vince ... minus 6 even though Lynch didn't convert

Nice to see the young McDonald receiving a few votes. He seems to have taken over Watts and Grimes role as the whipping boy this year.

I blame Jack Watts. If he hadn't improved the younger McDonald wouldn't receive so much criticism.

6 Watts - clear matchwinner

5 Tyson - only prolific ballwinner and not as many brain fades as others

Then really hard because everyone else butchered the ball so much.

4 Frost - dash and run against a good tall

3 Stretch - Great first half and one major brainfade

2 O.Mac - Still not strong in one-on-ones but started to intercept like his brother

1 VB - Shocking start but then found his range midway through second term.

Yeah youre right.  Looking over his season and hes barely played a bad game, and plenty of very good ones. Think Gawny will be leading at this point but Watts last month and  a bit has been better than Jack Vineys so hes moved right into contention.

Youd think that would be the top 3 but never underestimate the skipper. And Nev Jetta will be up there.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
