Proven right today. So many non-perceptive fans with their blinkers on in this forum who couldn't see how St Kilda's winning performances were a more mature brand of football than ours.

Tired.

Nope we're not good enough when it matters. If Wagner, OMac, Hunt, Brayshaw, petracca, Harmes, White, etc stick around and play 30 games together they'll get there.

We've been outcoached today.  Simple as that.  After quarter time they shut down our half back line and stopped our half forwards from being damaging as well.

Plus it doesn't help when you kick long to the wing so they can pick it off easily.

Again, they have a system at stoppages.

We have British Bulldogs

They play one on one when we have the ball... There is no zone. Then they work their ass off the other way

We need a game-day tactician on the coaching panel.

We have no system at stoppages. Gawn just hits it & 3 dive on the ball. That's not a system.

Every other team has a system. One goes for the ball, the other two wait for the give.

Dumb.

This is a team we should beat every time.

Why should we beat them every time? They're a better team than us by every measure. This idea that we're better than St. Kilda is just delusional. Please tell me how you work it out?

We are not better than the Saints, Melbourne fans need to stop saying that we are. BUT we should be at least close to on par and therefor we should be at least winning close to 50%, the fact we aren't shows a massive mental weakness.

Yes, but is it a workable game plan going forward - i.e. do you think they'll be winning finals games with that plan in the next couple of years?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
