Would have been lovely if he kicked that set shot from the boundary line. The only query on him so far seems to be his set shot kicking. (Though the sample size is very small)

Cant really see any other weakness in his game.

He still gets caught by the speed of the game a little bit. He also should have passed that shot from the boundary (Vince was on).

Nothing to worry about though. He is getting better each week.

Unfortunately had to work living in Queensland and all. Just finished watching on replay.

Nowhere near enough love for B Vince anywhere.... Laziest 42 [censored] possessions you will ever see!

Yes Gawn had 24 and kicked 3 etc. Lots of other good games. Bernie had Forty [censored] two touches! And will join Diesel Williams as a minor bronlow vote getter whilst gathering 40+! Bloke was immense

Very, very happy. I was invited to a corporate box today. I arrived to find myself the only Dee supporter amongst 15 smug Magpie medicos - almost the worst type of supporter. Well it was my lucky day - I managed to guess the first goal kicker and was the only one to pick that Melbourne would be in front at half, 3/4 and full time. Only missed out on the 1/4 time lead.

Go Dees!!!!

Magpie medicos - probably all deregistered

Not sure if it's been specifically mentioned, but how good was Petracca's goal in the second term?  The pick up, spin, push off and then goal was sublime.  His sure hands at both ground level and in the air, as well as his explosiveness and ability to quickly change direction in a pack make him such an exciting prospect.  Really looking forward to his second half of the year.

It was one of two plays he made that had me sitting up and saying WTF?!?!  The other was the short pass to Kennedy off the outside of his boot.  Ridiculous thing to do.  It was awesome.

He was tremendous mate and was involved in many chains off HB that resulted in scoring shots. I would need to watch the replay again but also had him close to BOG along with Big M. Could easily have shared the cup!

Its picky but I sometimes think he dishes the ball off too quickly to the first option when he could look up and choose a better one. I suspect that will come with experience.

He's an awesome package for a 4/5 gamer...

I know you're being slightly facetious there Clint, but as I think I brought up a few weeks back, at least they admitted their mistake and made the change.  It's easy to be stubborn by trying to force something that clearly isn't working.  Good on the FD for sucking it up and making the necessary changes.

I would give them credit if it took a week and a half to figure out. It took half a season...

Good game from TMac today. The defence worked well after qtr time.

the defence has locked down so much more the last 2 weeks. Still zones but stays tighter. Hope they keep that structure it's a much better balance.

Thought it was very poor of Collingwood to leave the ground before the medal/cup was presented to Gawn. Very poor sportsmanship and an insult to Neale Daniher.

did you expect anything else from colonwood?

He was great, but he clearly shanked the 2nd, was right in front of me.... He laughed after he kicked it!

Seriously?  I was sitting there with my Dad watching the replays and we eventually decided it must have been deliberate.  If not then it was a hell of a fluke.

I haven't seen mentioned anywhere Roosy's decision at quarter time to get Bugg to tag Sidebottom. Looks like a good move from the coaching box from where I sit. What was that about match day tactics again?

I'm sure they always knew Frost was a backman.

The priority was to give Pedersen some competition up forward, to make sure that Hogan had some help and to score more. Whilst also having some leadership down back in what is a young backline.

If Dawes had been fit the whole year and had the footy department known Dunn and Garland would offer so little then they never would've tried the Frost experiment.

I'm mainly disappointed Frost wasn't moved back against St Kilda. Aside from that, he contributed something in the early season wins. Hopefully Weeds and Hulett keep developing and he doesn't have to go forward in the future, but I'd also like to develop our talls with the ability to be swung to the other end. If it was up to me both Hulett and Weeds would spend some time down back at Casey this year.

And the the kick over his head (in traffic) that resulted in a Gawny Mark & goal!?

The moment I saw they were playing Witts/Cox in the same forward line I knew we could run all over them- or both would take a zillion marks (Lucky they both didn't have a clue).

Second quarter was our really great quarter of footy. That was the sort of footy that was missing for about 5 years. Third we were keeping them at bay, fourth they'd given up. Kent has his up and downs but his run is important to us. Kent is our forward runner, Hunt our defensive. When others step up to help, Tom McDonald is virtually unstoppable in defence. Definitely the game where Petracca has looked the most dangerous. We made Collingwood's midfield and especially Pendlebury look ordinary again. Frost is finding his way in the backline and is moving well. Dawes isn't a good mark or kick for a key forward, but he can a really solid presence and often a decoy to help Hogan. Garlett could've  been handy today, but sometimes it doesn't look like he communicates well with the midfield. Kent and Kennedy were good enough as smalls anyway

Gawn and Vince did exactly as they pleased today. Amazing how dominant Gawn can be. He's not a sprinter, but he gets around and often does things midfielders do

Clearly, I love watching the boys go around on Tele and talking rubbish with the rest of you but there's nothing like being at the 'G' and hearing the roar when we're playing exciting football.

That said, I reckon MFC supporters are still the most placid bunch I've heard at a ground.

Get your mongrel on guys!

I think a few "well done boys " each match is quite sufficient.

It gives me the shits. Sounds like a library almost every week. I feel like I'm the only one out there shouting every week.

The MCC mob are loud when pointing out officiating injustices that happen in front of them. They're not jumping out of their seats much otherwise. The only two loud Dees supporters I heard today were reacting to a loudmouth Collingwood fan in standing room (who was funny though). I'm a bit of a lone shouter too (though not that frequent a one)
