Honorable mentions - T.Bugg. Could arguably have Bugg on top, I didn't notice his influence as much as others though. I could well do after viewing replay. His stats are very good.

HM: ANB with 18 touches but alot of them were an important part of the chain. Didn't look out of place at all today.

6. Watts (who should of kicked more goals if: a) his teammates had responded to his leads, and b) he hadn't been so unselfish in his goal assists)!

5. Bugg who was at it all day

4. Hogan who was more accurate today

3. Stretch for consistent effort

2. Jones who kept up the pressure

1. Harmes (who misses Howe?)

Agree on Bugg. He's the kind of player I notice more when he turns it over than anything, and I can't help but notice he turns it over as much as probably anyone. But he's playing his role.

Armchair votes.

6. Hogan. Showed attributes of both Pavlich and Riewoldt

5. Stretch. Has some class knows where the ball is and growing in confidence.

4.. The Bug. Gets plenty of the ball and has a hard edge.

3.Garlett. Creative. Fast. and smart. Bargain buy of the century.

2. Jones. Was at the contest all day - as usual.

1. Wagner. Fitting in nicely. Takes the game on

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
