DemonLad5 1,642 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Surprised one of these are not up I'll have a swing Hogan - please improve kicking Jones - tough but sloppy Salem - needs more ball Watts - Some good moments Petracca - an absolute bull Viney - is officially elite Gawn - was well beaten Tyson - Demonland's most underrated Oliver - very minimal impact Stretch - possesses great smarts Garland - Not AFL standard Pederson - lazy and unsighted Michie - will hold spot Vince - will get suspended McDonald - never kick again Hunt - looked completely lost Bugg - sloppy and fumbley Kennedy - thank you Collingwood Garlett - not his best Jetta - always Mr. Reliable Wagner - same as Hunt Harmes - needed more output

John Crow Batty 8,892 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Garland - schwabovian nightmare persists.
joeboy 3,191 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Jones - frustrated and limited Vince - could rarely impose Hogan - underwhelming and disappointing Salem - little to appreciate Watts - impressive second half Petracca - lacked spatial awareness Viney - couldn't move mountains Gawn - surprisingly little impact Tyson - prolific but wasteful Oliver - looked at sea Stretch - pace and effort Garland - game has passed Pedersen - virtually no impact Michie - little to enthuse McDonald - game gradually improved Hunt - believed own hype Bugg - was rarely noticed Kennedy - tried but unconvincing Garlett - was embarrassingly absent Jetta - brave and solid Wagner - out of depth Harmes - shuddering to realty
waynewussell 6,975 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Can't see why Vince will get suspended for a bump on the shoulder and no real impact on the player he supposedly hit 'high'. Gawn was well beaten alright... by the maggots! The umpires continually let the Bulldog ruckman impede his run at the ball while allowing Bonts to have a clear hit as third man up. Contrast this approach by the maggots to the free against Hickey for impeding Goldstein! Oliver's minimal impact had him top 5 for handballs and around top 5 or 6 for tackles! Apart from that DemonLAd5, I reckon you're pretty close!
rjay 25,424 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Viney - Disappointed me today Will post more on this tomorrow when I have some time but he really needs to work on some aspects of his game if he is to be truly elite and the leader we want him to be. I know most if not all will not agree...but it's how I saw it. Tyson - our best today Jetta - not far behind Oliver - kick the ball

Tyson - our best today Jetta - not far behind Oliver - kick the ball Oliver is a bit like a young Jobe Watson who early in his career wouldn't kick the ball but all of a sudden it clicked. I'm sure the same will happen to Clarrie.

The Backyard Charizard 1,202 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Jones - tried but struggled Vince - miss a week? Hogan - missed crucial goals Salem - hit the gym Watts - dropped crucial mark Petracca - building momentum nicely Viney - wanna boof him Gawn - needing a rest? Tyson - getting better weekly Oliver - eat more breakfast Stretch - cementing starting position Garland - concreting more suitable Pedersen - struggles at feet Michie - making up numbers McDonald - dropped crucial marks Hunt - will destroy Brisbane Bugg - started well, faded Kennedy - sucked in Collingwood Garlett - need more output Jetta - absolute brick wall Wagner - needs more games Harmes - lacked impact today
Gorgoroth 13,215 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Oliver needs to realise that if the first handball isn't on, it's ok to kick it.

That was part of the problem yesterday. His game was very similar to his Brisbane game. He got a lot more of the ball but he had little influence. He wasn't alone in that regard, though.

leucopogon 1,519 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Tyson is constantly tackled as soon as he gets the ball and usually doesn't free his arms to get the ball out. He's gone backwards this year. MFC - fit of fumbles
ArtificialWisdom 4,045 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Jones - Didnt lead well Viney - cant go alone Jetta - Keeps getting better Oliver - another down day Watts - presented, finished well Hogan - couldn't finish efforts Harmes - Rising star crash Stretch - Deseves more games Michie - Needs more class Gawn - Well nobody's perfect CP5 - some exciting clearances Vince - another undisciplined act Kennedy - Effort without reward Tyson - Liking his 2016 Salem - Needs ball more Bugg - ??? didnt see much Perdersen - not effective enough Garlett - A solid "meh" TMac, Garland, Hunt, Wagner - Copped others turnovers some tough ones to assess but i thought id give it a go

As many times as Tyson got tackled as soon as he got the ball - so was Viney. There many secondary stoppages caused by Viney getting tackled and not free as there were with Tyson. Selective analysis in my opinion.

He's averaging equal or higher in disposals, goals, tackles, Inside 50s and Score Assists than that year, and all are a marked improvement on last year.
Bang Bang Bang 5,875 Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 13 hours ago, joeboy said: Tyson - prolific but wasteful You say this every week. Why? His kicking was sharp yesterday, one of our goals was directly caused by Tyson successfully executing a risky but perfect 50m kick into the corridor to Jones who was surrounded by Bulldogs. I don't recall any of his other kicks missing the mark either.
