Two tossers take aim at Bugg

Featured Replies

Wait.. Did Demonland actually start this thread? Couldn't merge with the other Bugg thread?

But i agree.. they both tossers..

discussed elsewhere - I have no problem with the showboating - I have a problem with the Reiwoldt incident.

Everything around this accurate. They are both tossers, they're right about Bugg's actions and yet he is exactly the kind of player we need.

I saw the first 5 seconds of the video, saw who was on it and closed the window

He definitely can over step the line at times, however, there has always been players like this and they are often necessary to be a premiership side.

Love what he does and may it continue. On the Reiwoldt action, he hardly pushed him hard, or tried to injure him more like the Lions did to the other Reiwoldt so I don't think you can compare the two.

He probably pushed it a bit but i loved his game, you have to be close to the line to get in their heads the way he did and it was a big part of why we won the game.

I don't know why anyone would have a problem with what he did.  So what if he showboated?  Big deal.

If I were these two 'tossers' I'd be more focused on spending time analysing the dog act that Rance committed and how bad it looks during a time where we are trying to eliminate coward punches like that from society.

When compared to that, what Bugg did means nothing.

Bugg can carry on as much as he likes. As long as he walks the talk.

However, he has an amazing amount of front for someone who makes regular mistakes.

Apparently Rance's actions were justified given how frustrating his night (and year) had been,

By that logic under Neeld the whole demon line up would have been justified to knock out whoever they pleased.

Still can't get over how much Carey and the other commentators tried to justify his actions.  It was really poor.

On SEN this morning that ex umpire Humphrey used exactly the same expression ie he as really frustrated. He also said that Viney was out of line with his response and the free should have been reversed or the 50 not paid.

On another note he defended the deliberate out of bound decisions in that game.

Lucky you weren't listening to the radio commentary then... MMM were going overboard about how much they were enjoying the biff, and given recent events I would have thought a memo might have gone out to try and tell sports commentators to be a bit more grown up about such things.

Carey criticised Bugg on Talking Footy last night.

I tend to agree with him. It's arrogance when it's not warranted. I remember David Schwarz doing the same thing once, in a game we ended up losing dreadfully.

BTW, Carey has also been talking up Melbourne a lot in the last couple of weeks.

"California here we come"

They get paid for this repetitive tripe!!!!

Keep it up Tom

Just like Dean Chiron back in Swoopers day!

What a useless topic. Crucify Rance he deserves to be nailed...

Agree, two tossers,

But I'm loving that they feel the need to talk about this.  We, the MCF, are newsworthy for a whole lot of reasons now and people talking about us in any light means they are noticing us.  Whatever their agendas, I dont care.  We're no longer irrelevant and people are very afraid of what me might become in the next few years.  Talk us up, knock us, whatever, because you cant now ignore us......

I think you'll find he did that during a Qualifying Final against Carlton.  We won that game.

And they can criticise Bugg all they like, but it's wasted breath.  What he did means nothing and doesn't even need to be analysed.

Sheedy always said you need a couple of cowboys in your team.

Love it that we're starting to find that kind of spirit.

No we didn't.
We beat Carlton ..... In a final.
Scores were level at the time too.

Tune in about 4:50.

I can't wait till Bugg exchanges vows with Sam Mitchell.
