Hunt should stay for all those reasons and more. On Sunday he was the third demon into the melee and he disappeared in a sea of bodies. No hesitation, no regard for self presevation...... just flying the flags for his mates. The players milling around on the fringes of the melee was instructive (Pederson excused because he was ushering Hogan away) That's the type of player I want in a Melbourne jumper. More Hunt, thats what we need, not less.
olisik 4,060 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I think Jones will be in before Trac. Seasoned hard runner opposed to some X factor.

Oliver, Trac, ANB, M Jones all infront in the queue for me and nobody in the team realy deserves to be dropped. Brayshaw will likely make for now but he still had an influence. I would give Trenners at least half the year dominating at casey to get his confidence sky high if he comes in later.

Injury occurs from things like fatigue, completely random/innocuous and unlucky situations, an imbalance in the physiology of an individual etc. There are risks involved in all of them. And in all of life. You may as well be closing your eyes and crossing your fingers every time he dons the Casey jumper, trains, is in the weights room, fornicates etc. He'll be fine Stu. Play on. NO NO NO cant let him do that. Far too risky !!!! Back groin neck spinal issues Too damn risky
Deeoldfart 8,205 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Lots of posters (myself included) suggesting that Gus may make way for Clarry against the Saints. Gus certainly hasn't hit the ground running like he did in his first season, and it got me thinking about the following comments from Roosy in this years edition of Heartbeat: "One of the things we're working on with Angus is his training habits. They've certainly improved and he's got more consistency in his training after Christmas". If Gus's training habits were below par before Christmas, and he subsequently lost several weeks as a result of his pre-season injury, it suggests that he might still be a bit underdone. If this is the case, playing predominantly through the midfield at Casey might be the best way to get miles into his legs.
Coq au vin 755 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 On the "saintsational" website they have forum called the animal enclosure for 18 year olds and above only. St Kilda supporters are lower scum than even Collingwood supporters.

bandicoot 1,395 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Most of the players who are currently in the 2nds will get their chance sooner rather then later . The reality is that we are just one bad lose and a few injuries/reports to have 3 ins. trenners, Trac, Oliver, m jones, ANB and stretch will all play before round 10. even injured Dawes and Vanders will get a shot.
ILLDieADemon 804 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Would love to see JT in the team next week. Absolutely killed it in the VFL again on the weekend.
Fat Tony 5,337 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Assuming there are no changes to the senior side, this could be the Casey side to run out against Essendon on Sunday. Terlich O McDonald White Stretch Garland Smith Grimes Trengove M Jones Newton Dawes Petracca Hullett Weideman Neal-Bullen Max King Oliver Michie Munro Huchins McInerney T Smith

Redlegs Too 106 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Going on Justin Plapp's report if anyone is going to be promoted it will be the very deserving Jack Trengove. Won't that be something to see? Petracca is still not staying with the game plan by the sound of his report. Both will be in the ones before too long but I think JT will get there first.
Demon Jack 7,196 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Despite the fact he's clearly underdone, Gus still did some handy things on the weekend and against Collingwood as well. I still think he needs a good month at Casey to get some fitness and form back. I heard somewhere that Salem was on the bench for a good portion of the last quarter with ice on his upper part of his hamstring. At this stage In: Oliver, Petracca Out: Brayshaw, Salem (only if injured)
drdrake 3,203 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 I think JT will be an emergency for Saturday night. I still think the Role Brayshaw is playing at the moment is best suited to Petracca. I thought JT would get back in before Petracca but seeing the inside mids we have playing well at the moment and really there are 2 roles up for grab 6th Forward and back up ruck forward, although Pederson and Frost are doing Ok be great if we had one player that was a combination of both.

ashdemons22 235 Posted April 26, 2016 Posted April 26, 2016 Leg issue soft tissue type. Nothing serious pulled up sore won't make short turn around for Sat.

It is about putting the best team on the park to beat the other team. It depends on their strengths and weaknesses. My only concern about tracca is his tank. I saw Casey on Saturday night, and he was a long way from the best afield (that was Tenners by some distance in a very ordinary display by Casey). I suspect though he is a big occasion player given his underage record, but he did not have a complete pre season, and that is why the selectors are holding him back IMHO. Nevertheless, I suspect he will play in the seniors this week. I agree. I reckon Trenners should be next cab off the rank. Good grab for his size. Finds the ball and generally kicks goals.

Interesting. That's one forced change but still doesn't give us any indication of who will come in. A number of guys could play half-back.

I reckon it gives Petracca every opportunity if they manage Brayshaw Out: Brayshaw, Salem In: Oliver, Petracca

They won't want to upset the winning balance, so it will be someone who can play the HFF/Mid rotation like gus has been playing. Ins: Trac Out: Gus ------------------------------------------------ FB: Jetta - Dunn - H HB: Salem - McD - Wags C: Vince - N.Jones - Harmes HF: Kent - Hogan - Kennedy FF: Garlett - Pedo - Watts R: Gawn - Tyson - Viney I: Trac - Frost - Hunt - Bugg E: ANB - Trenners - Oliver ----------------------------------------------- Match-ups: T-MAC - Nick Dunn - Bruce Wags - McCartin No Oliver? He's had a nice rest...deserves to stay in the team. He was in the winning balance last week after all...

Petracca for Harmes? Harmes would be very unlucky. Having watched the replay last night, Harmes is quickly becoming seriously classy.
