Kent did kick 4... He was poor in other areas but doubt he'd be dropped after that. Harmes was there abouts again, did enough.

Frost is not a footballer, drops easy marks, doesn't provide much in the ruck. Having said that he is been played out of position. Needs to go back to Casey and play down back. But dropping him again really is ridiculous.. What's the point in dropping him one week picking him the next.

Vanders needs to lift.

Petrecca isn't ready. We may go in unchanged

1 and 2 and we go in unchanged ?? Nup this would be a tragedy to our trying to build "Culture"

Must admit he positioned himself well . Gets another run!

We simply can't afford that hack in Cloke to have another day out like he did in the Queen's Birthday last year. Cleaned him up in game 2 but I smell a big one for him coming up.

Although I don't really rate Dawes highly, god it will be important when he comes back

It's funny isn't it? He is no world beater but he can cement his place in this side if he gets some form back. Frost and Pedersen have been that rough...

I always say to myself that I would prefer Pederson to be in the team but it never seems to work out.... Dawes is always presenting and straightens us up too much. Bring on the weed

Not too keen to have an 18 year old do back up ruck...

Garlett has to come back in if fit, but beyond that no unforced changes.

if we play like that again we'll belt the Pies.

Extremely harsh on Wagner thought he played well for debut. Twice he had sure hands and picked up a hot ball under immense pressure at his feet also laid a huge tackle for us. Didn't see him do to much wrong. The dropped mark by Frost in last qtr under no pressure when we were attacking was so costly. He offers nothing and does not look like taking or kicking a goal. Bring in Wieds even if he is underdone he will be better then Frost.

Garlett comes straight back in, not sure who makes way (Bugg?).

We also have a major issue with Frost as the back-up ruckman. He can't ruck. He also can't play forward, but the ruck issue is worse. Pedersen is hardly any better as a forward but there's no question in my mind he's a better back-up ruckman than Frost. North got right on top whenever Frost was in the ruck. Not every team has Goldstein to take advantage of that situation, of course, but Frost as the ruckman worries me.

Out: Watts

Cost us the game.

Harsh.  Didn't help, but what about the constant tsunami of free kicks we gave away in the 3rd quarter that resulted in multiple goals?

Think O Mac brings much more to the table than Frost. Played well at Casey. I can seeing replacing Frost next week.

Who plays as the back up ruck then?

Garlett in for Vince is a lock - expecting Vince to cop one week.

Oscar McDonald could be another in if they decide to drop Frost, but the constant chopping and changing helps no one. I think Frost will get another week and he's good to have there as an option if Cloke gets away from TMac. That might leave us a bit exposed up forward though.

ANB is deserving of a look in, but not quite sure who for. Perhaps Bugg?

Stiff to drop Wagner after an okay debut and would do nothing for his confidence.

I would actually keep Frost and have him run around pi$$ing Grundy off all day!

Frost doesn't add much but is better defensively than Pedo (in the forward line) .........

A myth. Frost rarely lays a tackle. Runs around a lot. Quite quickly. Not sure what else he brings to the table. Pederson is no tackling machine either but when he does they stick and he is more of an offensive threat.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
