Dave Misson on the MFC website has basically said the AFL article is rubbish - Garlett will 'absolutely, definitely play on Sunday."

A bit of good news this week is nice for a change.

What seemed strange about Misson's statement was that he basically says Jeffy will definitely play and implied he'll play even if he doesn't train on Friday. I would have thought that wouldn't be the greatest preparation. Then again, I'm no expert...

Garlett must have wanted to get inside out of the rain !    If so,  maybe they should drop him,  if he didn't like the wet weather !

I hope I'm wrong,   & this is not a sign of laziness & cockiness in him.

What the Fk?

Do you seriously proof read before you post rubbish like FMD. And the fact is you have pot shot a player for no particular reason.

Idiot

ahh, g'day Idiot.

Tthe guy just turned his ankle, It  was retaped out on the paddock & then immediately sent for a straight-line run to test,  and after only 20mtrs he said its too sore.  I have to go inside.

...  now Misson says he's a definite starter.

I said I hope he is not getting lazy/soft already,  after his iffy time with the Blues.  and I said I hope I'm wrong.

.

You are wrong and a simpleton. Its quite obvious he was in a fair bit of pain and needed attention on. Its not laziness or soft its a fact.

To say he should be dropped because he might have faked is quite bizzare and one im not surprised it came out of your mouth.

FFS..

just putting a left field possibility out there,  just in case there is rot setting in..

We all around the club,  the coaches & us supporters in the social media,  have all got too far ahead  of ourselves, & last match this showed itself in our footy.

Today,  it sounds like jeffy couldn't get inside quick enough,  & all & sundry said,  'a bad roll of ankle'.   Now,  hours later our chief fitness man says all's clear,  100%.

I would be bustin' to stay on the park to get a full session in,  just as Trenners would.

.....  so all in all,  I think we should be guarded with jeffy,  just to keep him on his toes.  I think some observer said he played a good 15minutes last week.   leopards & spots, & all that.

It always concerns me when supporters start getting too far ahead, & the players here & feel this optimism during the course of they're week, out & about.  It does effect them.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
