I recall one memorable episode of ON THE COUCH when Matty Knights who was under the  pump at the time was being discussed and dear James in his soothing and caring tone was saying how he felt for him and in fact was going down to the club offering support and advice to help him through his difficulties. All said with the upmost expression of genuine sincerity and conviction.

Of course we know what happened a couple of months later.

Why did Hird, Evans, Robson etc meet in July 2012 to get rid of Dank and Robinson? Hird says he was told they could not payout financially and also Dank and Robinson would take legal action.

Hird says later they were shocked in February 2013 about concerns and investigations into EFC 

Answer... They know protocols were missed in July 2012 and had suspicions about what was being injected. Reid alerted issues and they were ignored.  Not enough was done to ask questions, stop the process and PROTECT THE PLAYERS. Hird failed the players.

wasn't that also about the time that essendon players started getting soft tissue injuries and losing games after such an dominant start to the season?

The AFL is not the only Aust sport going through drug issues. The main players look to be using the same trick as Hird and Co, blame the authorities through the media. It's a beat up, it's not true, they are out to get us, we'll take it to a higher court.
