It's pretty basic. There's not a lot happening with it, such as the old one. I'm the same as ADC on this.

I liked the current (or now old) one. Liked the recognition it displayed and it's meanings, as did many here who may have changed their previous views all of the sudden.

Not me H_T I disliked the CS Logo from Day 1 It was simply too busy. I like this more. Good move by the Marketing department.

However I do agree with rpfc All these things like clash jumpers and logo,s are now of little consequence to me

The only thing that gets my attention is winning games.

When we have won 10 this year and 15 in 2017 I will worry about these items.

Yeah, agree with this od. Winning games is essential. So too a team/club building for sustained success IMHO.

I recall you not liking the old one old dee. I just find it amusing. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I was proud of the now old one, the effort that had gone into it, how they explained the recognition of different aspects making up the logo. Many liked it, including many opposition supporters who I know, looked upon the logo with envy.

I am not putting the club down for doing these things I just find it hard to be excited about them.

I am excited about the Quality of our squad improving, the coming draft and the 2016 season.

I was a fan of the now old one, prefer it to the new one. I do like the new one though and the simplicity will serve better when looking for new people who may not have understood the relevance of all the parts of the old one. The new one is also better at linking the club to the city, which is a good goal.

Love the fact the club has been so out there in the marketing of this though, almost seems like we now support an entirely different team, one with confidence and who is brash! Here's hoping it translates across to the field.

Great marketing campaign, well done MFC.
I dunno,I loved the old school 70's/80s demon the best, but this one is OK

Great, so why are you talking about that in a thread which is about the new logo?

That's like going into a thread about Jesse Hogan and complaining about Dean Terlich not being good enough.

The "winning games" argument is fine but we can walk and chew gum at the same time.

And blow bubbles. Arguably they "pop" better after winning games.

Looking at those you would have to say we have been confused for some time.

We must be close to holding the record for Logo changes.

I like the new one, but I liked the old one better. The old one was busier, which suited me but probably doesn't suit the times. Anyway, I like the way this has been done. Well done MFC!

Great to see Daisy with Jonsey on the promo. Our two captains!

Daisy is a great role model and someone to aspire to for the little 'aussie kick' girls ...might make them little Demons (and convert parents and siblings)

good to see you got that bit right

A big FU to the AFL website though for spoiling the build up.

But have they ? I think we used them quite well

Im thinking something (s) else are still to come.

We'll know tonight :)

Each to their own I guess but the old logo was not a logo, a logo is supposed to give you some immediate recognition. The old one was trying to do and be too many things.

Love the new one...simply the Melbourne Football Club, leave the other stuff to be recognised by statues and history books.

I loved some of those tweeted responses to the coffee cup... luke warm in 5 minutes and cold at the 10 minute mark.

Do you think there may be a new Demon logo as well? Maybe a new jumper? Maybe the clash jumper will just be that new logo on a white jumper. Would be better than the current IMO. I guess we will find out if the afl has spoiled the show at 5:30

I didnt mind the older one but in a way..and with deference to our song possibly. ..it was more an Emblem than a logo.

Good logos for successful brands/businesses/clubs are often very much simplified in terms of colour and design.

Im looking forward to seeing the new one everywhere ...lol

Going to be interesting to see how far these gorilla tactics go.

Its clever. I like clever :)

Hawthorn supporters love wallowing in their pee&cackiness. Who can deny that Miranda Kerr would look great dressed in a potato sack? I'll wait and see before I like it.

I'd be happy to wallow if we had won 4 premierships lately too!!

I liked what the previous logo stood for, but as was mentioned before, it was not really a logo as a logo should be easily/instantly recognisable... it looked more like a shield(?). I like the new one, but if I was to have one complaint it is that the shape reminds me a little too much of the Warner Bros logo (but that's just me, I fear).

Will miss the previous Logo. I really liked it

But the new one is cool enough & the Marketing today was first class

We must use our city more...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
