I really like that they have involved Daisy Pearce in this and are getting her name more and more out there. She is a great ambassador for the club and also for women's football. It makes me proud to follow the club that has put so much time and effort into growing the game and getting more women involved.

Couldn't agree more Dom.

For the first time in a long time, it feels like we're ahead of the curve, rather than just playing catch-up.

The TV ratings for this year's game, and the number of women who follow footy in general, all point to a growing market with huge untapped potential.

In the not-too-distant future, other clubs will be clamouring to jump on board and get in on the game; by that time, the MFC will have established a significant presence in the whole caper and will be in a great position to capitalise.

The decision to send Daisy, Dom and Gus to Melbourne Girls Grammar this morning was a stroke of genius by the club imho, and shows they've got an eye on the long-term gains that can be made from promoting / supporting the women's game.

Well if someone had actually put that link up at the start ot would have been helpful. First time i have had access to an internet all day and all i saw was a tweet about a kick to kick. So thanks Stuie for actually providing a link for the first time

I am catching up now reading all the new marketing set up by the club. Not everyone sits on a computer 24/7

Settle down, lad.

It was the tone of your post, you made out like no one knew what they were talking about, when in fact...

Pretty sure when the Demonland Banner for 2016 we'll be able to display both the mens and womens team coaches, captains and players.

Well I think it was great. at least we got some coverage on all news services. although poor Jesse im starting to feel sorry for him being asked about his contract. As he said I still have 2 years.

But on another note can I just say how tough our captain is. He has a scar on his neck from surgery and cant get any contact for a few months. Obviously he played with a serious nerve injury and toughed his way through the season. Others would have stopped. Some would say he may have been a bit silly because neck injuries are something that shouldn't be messed with, but you know he loves this club and wants to be out there very single week.

I got down there and had a look. Is it wrong if I had to choose between Viney and Daisy kicking from 35m out to win a Melbourne premiership I'd pick Daisy. She strikes it perfectly every time.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
