So in summary, our trade period has been a four pick downgrade in the second round, Toumpas and Howe for Melksham and Kennedy.

Absolutely brilliant stuff.

and dont forget that 3rd round pick......

If GWS get our 2nd rounder for Bugg I'm going to scream .

Toumpas is worth a sh!tload more than pick 50!

He appears to be pick 29.

It is Kennedy and 50 for Howe. That is pathetic. For a regular 100 game player we get a kid who can't make the Pies side and pick 50. If true that is just terrible.

And ND50.

Shuffling deckchairs but who cares, unless we are talking getting in a game changer and they rarely change clubs - it's all small potatoes...

Funny, isn't it? They're surplus to requirements, right up until the point where the other clubs agree.

Wow, couldn't even get two 2nd rounders for Toump and Hoiwe, Depressing stuff considering the trade we had lined up with the Suns.

In summary, [censored] off Jeremy Howe you pea hearted tattooed lazy [censored].

Ah yes, pick 50. Game changer.

We gave up a 2nd rounder for Frost last year, I fully expect it.

I wonder if Collingwood threatened to pull the QB games off us. Cant think of any other reason why we continually be happy to do whatever they want.

Has anyone kept tally of what picks GWS have.

Reason being can we offer 29 for Bugg or another pick as well?

Posted

The way I have painted it is Toumpas for Kennedy which seems fair. Both are living off their U/18 potential and done sweet bugger all in the AFL to date. Both lack composure.

Which leaves Howe for pick 29 and 50, seems like a poor result. I think Howe is worth two picks in the 29-35 range.

We better use 50 on Bugg and not 29...

He's in talks with Carlton & St Kilda so not that entrenched.

That's good then. Apparently good mates with Dom Tyson too.

It's as if people don't understand that we actually have our own free will and have deliberately decided to make this deal. It wasn't forced on us. They obviously have their reasons.

Only was to salvage is trade picks 29, 46 and 50 to Sydney for Pick 14.

Trade Picks 6 & 14 to Gold Coast for Picks 3, 35 & Gorringe.

Trade 35 for Bugg and a later pick.

Then maybe package Grimes with our 4th round pick for a pick upgrade and get a 2nd live pick back up there.

Posted

How about we save the meltdown for when we get fleeced by clubs taking best 18 players?

Come on, that is a pathetic deal for us, if that is what it is.

If Redden is worth pick 17 there is no chance Howe is worth two second rounders...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
