But he is that type, hence why the comment had so much impact. Never under estimate the hate that Toby Greene can generate.

No skill & absolute fl0g of a bloke - would continue to absolutely despise him. Can't believe it was even suggested. Could understand if it were for someone we need to move on like Terlich, etc but suggesting we use Howe for that smug little slag is simply baffling.

My 85 grandfather made the comment while watching Round 2 game this year that Greene has one of those annoying 'American Sitcom kid faces that needs to be smashed in' which is hard to disagree with.

He fits in well with most of the GWS freaks, albeit no dirty pedo mo. Leave him there.

How on earth do you come to "absolutely despise" a kid who had his 21st birthday last year? Unless you're close to that age yourself, but even then, he's just barely an adult who plays for the tiniest club in the league.

The again, good old grandad doesn't like his face.

He comes across as overly smug and arrogant, a trait that's absolutely dispicable. You might like that thing P Man but it really gets my goat.

Would hate to see him in Red and Blue.

He is right though.. having mates playing in the AFL i have had one tell me he is a disgusting bloke and needs a good wack across the chops. He is not respected throughout the AFL due to his wild off field behavior.

He's just lucky he is in Sydney where there isn't much limelight for for AFL.

He spat on a former teammate just this season; he's widely despised by other players and an absolute mess off-field.

Have been told plenty of horror stories from people who've run into him at clubs or the like.

Forgot about that. I remember him and his flash mates gang bashing a bouncer at Caulfield Zagame's. Real tough guy move from a kid who only had his 21st birthday last year.

Jack Watts wouldn't do that sort of thing!

He spat in the direction of. Not condoning it, but he never spat ON the player.

Maybe it's my age. I can't bring myself to loathe someone who has a lot of maturing left to go.

I also don't form my opinions of people based on stories retold from others, especially when it comes to AFL players.

Greene absolutely fails the "no dikk'eds" rule.

Jesse Hogan wouldn't beat up a bouncer either.

What's your point?

That is very understanding of you, but we won't have the benefit of a Toby who has matured with age - we will get what he is now.

From a straight footballing point of view I would take him in a heartbeat. He is a ball magnet and can play inside and outside. He would be an outstanding acquisition to the midfield. However, you have to weigh that up against the off-field issues and whether he is worth the risk. He is in the old language a larrikin who likes a drink. Is he the sort of guy that needs micro management with very clear boundaries. He seriously wants to play AFL footy and his skirmish at Zagames was a wake-up call. Having said that I have been told that he has no interest in Melbourne but would be happy to go elsewhere in particular the Pies. So the discussion is probably irrelevant.

Sounds like a good cultural fit with the Pie's supporter base (not so sure about the playing group). Shame that he's developed such a bad reputation, can play.

Bulldust the kid had an altercation a few months ago and paid his dues, the kids a ball magnet and exactly what we need, the days of taking Brighton pussys needs to end I hope Roos and co

We don't need Brighton Grammar softies like Salem. Picking up Dawes was bad enough!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
