That game cost me 10 Euros to watch live at 7:20am in France.

You're welcome AFL. I hope the Dees get a cut of that. The kids will have to make a choice between escargot and frogs legs tonight.

The European Commission Directorate-General for Translation's English Style Guide (a handbook for authors and translators in the European Commission) previously recommended the use of regular plurals for documents intended for the general public but now has no restriction on usage and states:

Prior to 2006, the inter-institutional style guide recommended use of euro and cent without the plural s, and the translation style guide recommended use of invariant plurals (without s) when amending or referring to original legislation but use of regular plurals in documents intended for the general public.

Like ‘pound’, ‘dollar’ or any other currency name in English, the word ‘euro’ is written in lower case with no initial capital. Where appropriate, it takes the plural ‘s’ (as does ‘cent’): This book costs ten euros and fifty cents [. . .] The currency abbreviation precedes the amount and is followed by a hard space [. . .] The symbol also precedes the amount, and is followed by a hard space if the following number contains a space. I suggest the frog legs, seriously taste like chicken just with a lot of bones

Good God Doctor!!!! Is it something in the air at "Hopping Dicks Creek" that allows you to produce a dissertation of this nature at 7.51 am on a Monday?

I wont even be capable of deciphering it until the pm, by which time, hopefully the weekend's Shiraz will be starting to dissipate from my system.

Was in Germany last week for work.

Cigarettes are cheap. You can't smoke on the footpath between a restaurant and its outdoor eating area, but you can smoke at the table where you eat. Astonishing.

Love their beer, too. Walked out of a conference and they gave a bottle of beer and a pretzel to every attendee.

hmmn, $15.15.... you must be a masochist

I forgot the game was on, until I changed channel from music radio to tv, & there it was. I watched for a bit, but couldn't drag my mind away from the computer, to sit & watch telly... such is the way of today's footy.

but we all live in hope, things will get better again.

Am in Auckland for work and managed to totally miss the game.

As a result I'm feeling quite good at the moment.

Who won? ;)

well done prb, & well played.

you know, the players should be played now to sort the list, & the supporters should take a holiday for the next 2 months, & be payed some compensation for the PTSD suffered, from decades of abuse at the hands of the VFL/AFL

I reckon the snails and frogs would have played better than the Dees did.

Contact the club and ask for reimbursement, you paid to watching Melbourne play for 4 quarters but they were only out there for one!

I'm starting to think our players are French.

They all seem to meekly surrender at the first signs of opposition.

Lol. they're lovers, not fighters ! vive la france`

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
