Jack's back (Trengove, that is)

Wow...I almost shed a tear.

Flipping awesome for Jack. He is a great bloke and deserves every bit of support we can give him.

I'm thrilled for him and wish him the best for a successful future career.

I had the biggest smile on my face watching that, I am just so happy for him.

Yeh great bloke, sold off to Richmond.

That was so cool!! Well done to all concerned!

(And congratulations to Jack, too! Great to see him back on the track! Bring on 2016!)

That's awesome. Would love to see this guy fulfil his potential. Him and track playing next year would be like recruiting two extra midfielders.

The banner and general fuss was Gawn's idea apparently.

Yep just read that on the website

Still cannot believe it. We had him out the door traded to Richmond !

Still a big question remains about him coming back!

The fact that he didn't trip and re-injure his foot perhaps means Melbourne's luck is finally turning :roos:

I love:

  • that Jack has taken his first running steps on the comeback trail;
  • the outstanding team spirit that is developing around our Club; and
  • that our great club cared enough to give Jack a contract extension, so he has every opportunity resurrect his career.

All things which bode well for the future, I reckon.

This shows that there is an enormous amount of spirit and camaraderie within this group. Often forgotten that Roos built that blood's culture up north and maybe it is starting to develop with us. Go Jack

Wow

Great news for Jack, and the club. Still a hell of a long road ahead but well done.

Great news for the club too that Max and JW thought of and organized it all - shows great camaraderie and club spirit.

Hope it is an indicator of both players' long term intentions to be part of the Demon revival.

PS. did bring a tear to my one eye.

has the richmond dr given him the all clear for running?

It was the Richmond doc taking the footage apparently

I was there at training this morning, actually made it into the background of that video for about two seconds.it was worth the trip just to see Jack running through the banner. It was also the most upbeat training I've seen all year.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
