Changes v Collingwood

One change? ONE CHANGE?!

To a team that has been dismal for 3 weeks?!

What happened to culture Roosy?

One of our biggest problems is that we don't play like a team. There's little cohesion.

I'm guessing Roos is trying to keep the side playing together, learning from one another and learning how to take what they learn at training onto match day.

Having said that, we cannot continue to tolerate senior players not performing, and I'd like to see one of them dropped if we keep playing like the last three weeks have shown.

They have had three weeks in a row with bugger all improvement soon to be four.

Can they learn about quicker please?

Lets keep playing those that offer little and don't give opportunities to others. Between that and Adam Goodes I won't be watching any football this week. Only interest I have this week is the results for my multis.

- refusal to drop out of form and players

- $200 raffle tickets

- 6-7 goals a game

We are a mess.

Go Dees.

Collingwood are trying to expose us by dropping Jesse White. It will be interesting to see how our tall backline goes.

McDonald forward, Dunn on resting ruck and Garland on small forward/mid doesn't sound too bad to me.

I don't mind how we match up on paper.

I wouldn't have thought we have a "tall backline". One of our ongoing problems for the last decade or so has been an undersized defence (although not just in height, but also strength). I assume that was the primary reason for recruiting Frost. Neither Dunn or Garland are tall enough to play key position when the opposition has a gorilla forward. Tom McDonald is a "tall defender" but, as we know, hasn't played there recently.

Dunn did a great job on Hawkins who along with Cloke are the competition gorilla forwards.

I'm hoping for a dominant game from Hogan. That could be the difference here.

He'll be eager to square the ledger with Jack Frost who soundly beat him last time around.

He needs to be told to stop trying to go for speccies, which has crept into his game since the

West Coast game also.

"My view is that is that it is time to give Angus a shot at playing off half-back? If you go back before his injury, he was starting to become our linebreaker with his long kicking. He can't get many minutes in our midfield yet, so why not use him in a way that he'll get a few cheap possessions and provide dash. He has the discipline to do it and aerial skills to sweep."

I think that is a very good idea Deespicable!!! Would at least give us some drive forward

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
