Brisbane are poo. The only people in the world who think we won't beat them are MFC supporters, that's why we're short priced favourites.

Im concerned about brisbanes speed, it will be a good battle of the inside mids but on the outside they have a clear advantage

Saying that our talls at either end of the ground are far better than theirs.

They are poo everywhere except their midfield.

And their midfield is stronger than ours. if we're going to win we're going to have to limit the influence of Beams, Hanley and Rockliff.

Viney to Beams, Vince to Hanley and Jones to Rockliff?

Lay down a pineapple on the Lions and you'll be able to drown your sorrows after the match courtesy of TAB.

I see $2.45 as value. So yes, I have backed the Lions.

Brisbane were good for 3 quarters against a quality side last week.

MFC couldn't get over the line against a second rate - and depleted - Essendon side.

How we are $1.55 favorites is beyond me.

...and this year, they're poo. Like, really really crap.

I don't think you people understand.

I understand that it's natural to expect the worst as an MFC supporter. I know we might lose. I know we're not travelling well. Just don't get the surprise at us being favourites, they're the worst side in the competition, playing away.

I think that we 'people' saw them take it right up to Freo and, to a lesser extent, Sydney.

Essendon were in the same boat last week and we all know the result.

We are susceptible to strong midfields and small forwardlines which Brisbane definitely possess.

Not sure what you've been smoking, Nasher. But, fact is this past three weeks Bne have been rather good, against top opposition. Just haven't been able to sustain it for four quarters.

I certainly expect Melb to win. But, then again, I'm one of those sad people who expects Melb to win EVERY game...!

Happens every year. We drop easy games. A nobody steps up and annihilates us. Cloke kicks 7.0 Daniher kicks 5.0. We are mentally weak and pathetic as a footy team.

This is their only game for the year at the G. They'll be pumped.

I still have vivid memories of the Swans beating us at the G after losing 24 in a row. There is a cancer within this club that we can't eradicate.

As coach Id be watching those that don't give 4 qtrs and not playing them for the rest of the year and to be delisted at years end. Sick of it really.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
