What Xavier said makes no sense in the light of Watson's comments and the fact that WADA DID provide all players with this brief.

It's just part of their ongoing, pathetic attempt to smear ASADA and now WADA and portray themselves as innocent victims. You have to admire their propaganda machine; despite the facts that contradict their ludicrous claims, rusted-on Hirdites will nonetheless lap up their club's comments.

However, the article says: "In forecasting his intention to fully review the recent and highly damaging episodes in Australian sport, Howman also affirmed his absolute faith in the efficacy of the WADA code in a team setting."

So Tim Watson knew about the 2 abnormal results 4 weeks ago, he has stated as much.

Some PLAYERS didn't know until today.

It seems to me that the club has intentionally left some players in the dark about this. I would assume that there will be some VERY angry calls from players to the CEO today.

The Essendon saga has been going on since 2012, and WADA have had their eye on it from the beginning, plenty of time for Howman to schedule his visit. In fact I doubt if he has been in office that long, but he sure has rightly given it high priority since he has.

The Essendon apologists certainly scratch around. That bloke on Radio National AM was at it again. I admit I wasn't listening carefully, but I think he was saying the fact that only 2 players had a 'bad' result indicated it was innocent because all of players would have had the same result. But I thought this was a result of a random test which surely would not be done to an entire team at once?

I am a huge fan of the ABC and especially the Radio National, but with the Essendon Saga they have got it consistently wrong across all media.

There are very good reasons for it though. Tracy Holmes is the sporting news editor in both radio and television for ABC News, and she if anything is more biased than Robbo if that is possible. So when the Essendon saga comes up as a news item you can rely on them to produce one of Hird's tame "academics" to provide "expert" commentary, courtesy of our Tracy. Her partner, Stan Grant, I understand is also a mad Essendon man.

Fair point. Let's say it is an explanation, albeit a very unsatisfactory one. Holmes is a lightweight, and has no journalistic principles IMHO, in many ways worse than Robbo because she works for the most credible news organisation in the country, and yet she quite shamelessly drives her own prejudices into her news judgements. The only way she gets away with it is because her supervisors know nothing about this particular issue, and are forced to "trust" her judgement.

The best one from this week is the story about how TB4 exists in the body naturally so finding unnaturally high levels of TB4 in the urine samples of a couple of their players means nothing.

be expected that Mr Xu would refer to it in his discussion with the journalist and the

ASADA and told the investigator he had provided all the documents that his company

still had on hand to the journalist. However, no reference is made to a certificate in

the newspaper article. Having regard to the purpose of the article, it can be inferred

from this that no certificate was supplied to the journalist by Mr Xu, which tends to

Which Journo? Wouldn't it also be just as plausible that the Journo his the certificate, or ignored it, or didn't realise what it was? After all the evidence was thrown out because the Journo didn't write about it in their story, not because it didn't exist.
