Milke: "Todd why did you select Toumpas over Wines?"

Would have been pretty handy today against the Shockers

Jimmy still doesn't make the best players at The Scorps....

WYL, none of the soft cts who follow our team are interested in facts.

Failpus will be a great player, and is a better pickup than that beast "whines"

Our recruiters got pick 4 right. Whimpy, waddling, scared player, same as watts.

A side full of them will surely bring us a flag.....

We have been crap for so long. I think we deserve some answers faulty

That midfield was VFL standard today

I hope Sheehan asks tough questions

God if not wines, why not McRae or stringer?

I disagree.

I think if asked respectfully and with tact, there should be no reason to avoid the question.

Correct. A lot of us put hard earned $$$ into this club and as Todd was head of recruiting at the time I want to know why the decision was made.

Todd knew how good Ollie was better than most.

Some people just aren't going to be happy unless Todd spends the whole session just crying and wailing "Ollie, oh Ollie, I'm so sorry", maybe some singing of Amy Winehouse, too.

Was always a fan of Todd's. Whatever he supposedly has or has not done correctly, he was still a great player and contributor to our club. The big plus is he fathered Jack!

I will be watching tonight.

Not questioning his playing days at all. But i do wonder if being the father of Jack compromised his work as Head of recruiting.

We missed a 10 year player and picked a kid with 2 bad hips who is still an average player at Casey

Our midfield is still very poor when pressured

Recruiting at Draft time has still not improved

Ask Todd that Mike for gods sake!

I see TV at training leaning around the place doesn't seem to have a role

What is his job ?

Always wondered the same thing Jackaub. Was an assistant coach at Whorethorn and we made him Head of Recruiting.

Large difference in skills i would suspect.

I can help you there.

"because at the time of the draft he was considered a better prospect"

There you go - not that hard is it ?

again - i challenge you.....

Please point me to one "expert" who rated Wines at draft time higher than Toumpas - just one - anyone - Ill take umm just one.

Now I agree that the so called experts expertise is questionable at best. But the whole industry is working off limited research and prevailing opinion was that Toumpas was rated higher and to borrow a phrase from you - "that is fact".

You can whinge all you like about this abomination of a decision but the bottom line is that this is all retrospective and the decision looked right at the time.

Happy for you to whinge about the likes of Cook who was taken well ahead of rating.

I have officially given up on the experts as they are rarely right.

I don't give a flying "f" what the draft experts say Nut for the same reasons you have stated

But Todd was privvy to more than anyone as far as Ollie is concerned.

That is the mystery to me....

I guess the real question most on here would like the answer to is...'Who made the decision to recruit Toumpas over Wines', many would like to lay the blame on Neeld.

It would be good to know the answer if only to lay a few rumours to rest.

It's not going to be asked or answered any time soon so lets move on.
