maybe they DO owe us Elliot !!

Lol. They'd never give up Elliot, but if they did, getting him for Howe would immediately improve our forwardline.

Around pick 20 is fair for Howe, should've taken the first rounder last year

Never really been interested in fair.

We did.

Howe didn't agree to go to GWS and to be fair to Jeremy - they were running around in a panic on the last day looking for anything and everything.

Can you make a life altering decision that affects other people in a few hours of notice?

According to the footy talk shows last night Howe has shopped himself around and failed to get any bites at the pricetag he was looking for. Now has to decide does he go elsewhere at a much reduced price or stay with the Dees and take what's being offered.

They were also saying that Watts is most likely to stay at Melbourne.

What about Moore for Howe.

Both take a good mark and both forwards.

Also old man loves Melbourne as well seeing as he played for us, didn't he.

Got to be fair Eddy.

The more things change the more they stay the same. Hopefully it lights a fire in both of them.

There's a Mr Kerrigan on the blower for you Chris !!

Does he want to throw a Torana in so we can offer Howe and a Torana for Elliott? Being Collingwood how could they resist

If that's the case, the MFC should tell him he's not welcome at the club anymore.

Sounds like he's (or his manager) burned too many bridges, and should pay the consequences of such arrogance.

Kennedy is terrible, he's a VFL player.

Surely you are not serious

Surely you are not serious

He is serious. And don't call him Shirley.

Lord Howe for Lady Elliot.................. Isle (I'll) be happy with that

Would Witts be of interest?, could use a bit more depth in the ruck department

It will be a sad day if Howe leaves...so many great memories of him taking hangers at the G, he always provided a highlight for the day.

Noted that Jeremy has been replaced with HOGAN! on the RHS of the MFC website...

We'd be better off bringing Paul Johnson out of retirement.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
