Maybe give him the role of Director of Development. Allison is currently 'Head of Development', similar to a 'Head Coach', why can't we have a 'Director of Development' like 'Director of Coaching'?

Sure it might be going a little over the top, but to keep Paul Roos involved in the football department after he relinquishes the coaching position, i would deem it perfectly justifiable.

You still have said how many games you have watched McCartin play.

You can have a go at McCartin but I can't have a go at McCartney pot\kettle I say.

Have a go if you use sensible facts and not half baked assertions. According to you McCartney was employed at Richmond Football Club - wrong. According to you, he failed in his tasks at the Essendon Football Club - he was only there for one season (2011) before he was offered the head coach position at the Doggies; so, have to give that assertion a fail as well. And almost without exception, all of the media pundits are of the opinion that he was very successful at both the Dogs and the Cats and there was genuine disbelief over the fact he had been moved on. So basically, on all counts you have failed.

I'll be laughing at the haters that doubt me not the club.

You don't have a brother in St. Kilda who apparently owns a roofing company (or whatever Tonatopia claimed to own)?

Another one that doesn't do his research. The Richmond thing has already done.

No one in their right mind would say he was successful at the Bulldogs because it's just not true.

I will take into account that you are a Sydney theatre goer.

It does throw in to light what Roos will be doing following his handover to Goodwin. Roos himself has said that he's already had talks with the club about a position that would see him remain at the club in some capacity.

I guess we have two years of not really having to worry about it and by then it probably won't matter too much anyway if the process of succession Roos and Jackson have put in place actually works.

You are a 'hater'...

And I trust Paul Roos' judgement more than yours.

Sue me.

Well done kurt!

Put his balls on the line and cut straight to the chase. None of this pathetic riddles [censored] or anything like that.

I also believe this is the second rumour you have got right before Kurt??

Again congrats. You have definitely won alot of admirers and respect here already on Deeland.

Ok, I stand corrected on the Richmond gig (but being a decade and a half ago, that is a very long bow indeed). Oh, and 20 wins over his first three seasons as a head coach is hardly a fail.

As for the Sydney theatre comment... not quite sure what that is supposed to mean. Being an ex Melbourne person who was born in Ringwood, grew up in Croydon and later lived in St Kilda, South Caulfied and Glen Iris and spent a lot of time in Altona (due to being in a band based there), I am hardly the regular theatre going type (although I do occasionally attend as it can be a good night out - unless you have a poor self image of course) - besides which, I believe Melbourne is far more renowned for its high quality theatrical venues,

Anyway, best you develop a taste for humble pie, as I'm sure you are going to be eating a lot of it in years to come.

Thanks BB... but as I said in my response to Where-a-Dee, it is drawing a long bow to raise an assistant development coach position at a club one and a half decades ago.

Thanks Dazzle, just one rumour from me i think. Now will try for info on picks 2 and 3, aim high and fail is better than doing nothing!

Will more than likely fail though and you'll may never here any news again from me. But if I ever say trust me, then I've got something or I just want to get banned for the hell of it ;)

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
