Also...thanks GNF A bit of class amongst some rabble

Teed up with what I heard was the go with Watts..You had far more detail at hand but there yo go for the doubters...he was put up...and despite what Roos may think, other clubs dont rate him nearly so high as many here would. Not wanting a bash thread t materialise but some need to understand how it works..

I wonder if Roos ( the club ) will be prepared to spend 3 on Lever when McCartin might be sitting pretty there ??? Will be an interesting call.

GNF..Do you sense Danger might still come our way or was that a once in a blue moon opportunity left begging/still born sts ?

cheers

Thanks GNF.

Watching everyone try to solve the riddles was one of the more entertaining things I've seen on DL.

Great insight to what happens at the club behind closed doors, I love it.

Gonna be a big year of Dangerfield free agency rumours...

The more I think about it, the more it upsets me that we could have had Dangerfield but for Roos overvaluing Watts. Terrible decision.

Geez that's a massive endorsement for Watts from Roos.

Hopefully watts will take full advantage of it knowing he has the full support of the coach.

One thing that I am puzzled with is that once trenners fell through and the MFC floated and got interest with watts then only to have Roos say no, wouldn't u have thought to FIRST ask the coach if they can trade watts before bloody doing it?

IMO it just shows and enormous lack of communication.

Maybe if they had got a tradeable player that everyone was on the same page about maybe just maybe a deal could have been reached.

I guess we will never know now.

From a cynical point of view if the GNF's story is true ...it's telling a player that you would be willing to trade him.

And we will never really know what, if anything was offered.

Cheers GNF, you provided some hope with at least solid foundations, rather than speculation pulled from nowhere.

Not a fan of the thread though 'the week that could have been'. Don't like dealing with what if's, what's done is done, time to move on.

If Dangerfield was keen to leave Adelaide but didn't get the megaphone out demanding a trade and nominating clubs, then he deserves a huge round of respect from everyone.

I was previously ambivalent about getting Dangerfield, worried that the hype about such an elite and spectacular player would push his 'price' even beyond where it should be.

But, that nod to good character and the 'new loyalty' of discretion and respect in your dealings, that's got me genuinely keen to recruit him now.

I am a little bothered that Roos doesn't seem to rate Petracca. He looks to be everything Roos wants in a young mid. More than that, he has a bit of the Raging Bull about him in the way he wins the ball. What is the issue Roos has that so many other clubs don't seem to?

maybe he's always been convinced he'll go no 1 so need to say/do much

Also not sure that Roos does not rate Patrrica, I think there is an expectation he will go 1. I don't expect Roos to go for Lever over maccatrin. But I don't know this. All I know is that Roos rates Lever, perhaps not as high as 3. Time will tell. Personally I would go for maccatrin assuming Patrrica is gone. Brayshaw a lock in.

If danger was considering being traded to the MFC then we may have a good chance at him next year as him considering being traded to us shows a willingness/acceptance of playing for us which is a good start.

Jason Taylor is paid to make these decisions. I hope Roos leaves it to him.

BTW, I enjoyed reading your rumours. Cannot be 100% certain your not sprouting bulldust, but it made trade week a heck of a lot more enjoyable. Nobody is forced to believe them, I believe the haters (and you know exactly who I mean) are jealous of the attention and praise you receive. Ignore them.

.... and we can offer the most coin. Some on field improvement in 2015 is what is required.

Still think he'll take less coin to move to say Geelong, but never the less, it's good to hear we haven't given up. I want us to go hard after Prestia again next year. He'll have a year to run on his contract. Would love to land Dangerfield, Prestia and a Sydney mid. We can dream. ;)

Any one think we could have a commitment from Dangerfield for free agency next year along the same lines of how Buddy committed to the Swans 12months out?

Maybe, I will be amazed if he doesn't end up at the Cats though.

DYLAN SHIEL has to be to the number one target next year for me. He's out of contract, as is Treloar, and I hope we're already getting into at least one if not both of these guys ears with big offers put in front of their managers. I would rather either of these two than Jeremy Cameron who is also out of contract next year incidentally as is Hoskin-Elliot, Coniglio and Devon Smith. Would love any of these guys to add to our midfield, WHE is the only one who I'm a bit iffy on the rest - please MFC for the love of God get cracking on these guys NOW!

I also like reading these rumours.

But I also understand that they aren't true.

And to think I was wondering which fairytale to read my son tonight.

The opening post will do. I now know why we need such strong consumer protection laws.

Trengove will be lucky to run out onto the park in the MFC jumper again.

We need talent. Not sentiment.

Jack was keen to go i heard on SEN this morning.

It's a business.

Heard the same thing - it was the Richmond mouthpiece speaking. What do you expect him to say ?

I'm a huge fan of Shiel & think he brings an element to our midfield that we lack. I guess I'll keep watching the Giants as a window shopper next year. Hopefully the club have lined him up & we get after him for trade & maybe a Danger as FA

All in good fun but I must say, I got more of a kick out of Chilli Boy/Nudge.

Imagine what he could've trotted out with this trade period!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
