I've got it! Strauss, Blease & Tappy for Dangerfield & Patrenko!

Flawless.

Don't know why supporters would be against this when he's another we could get for nothing..

He's had a couple of injury riddled seasons which haven't allowed him to play consistently enough to get his spot back in the best 22 but he's the type of player Roos would look at.

Patrenko when fit provides the same forward pressure as players like Ballantyne, Puopolo, Rioli and McGlynn. They're all manic in their attack on the ball and man.

We have nobody in our forward line who provides that. He can kick a goal too. I don't know why supporters just switch off when a player gets the flick at another club. He's got attributes we need. He fills a hole.

Him and Garlett just being in our forwardline whilst the ball is in dispute puts pressure on opposition players.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we picked him up. Hopefully his body isn't too shot.

No room on the list, stmj. Assuming Frost and Lumumba come on board, we'll have only three live picks, unless we delist a contracted player or pass with pick 23, neither of which I would do for Petrenko.

He's miles slower than all of those players you mentioned so whilst he chases very hard he doesn't have that brilliant attack dog chasing that panics defenders, he doesnt score goals all that regularly and he doesn't win much of the ball.

I'd much prefer to play Garlett, Kent, JKH and Salem. All 4 can do what Petrenko does defensively and contribute more in attack.

Petrenko would be competing with Bail for that depth/experience spot and despite his poor footskills I think Bail finds as much as the footy, runs much harder and has more versatility in playing on the wing. 5 small forwards are enough on the list for 3 spots especially as we should look to draft or trade that to bolster our midfield which could mean that we have mids learning the game whilst playing forward in the team.

This thread is such a disappointment after the other ones we've got going at the moment.

Ok just for you.

If the drunken man in a red coat and yeallow jumper, stumbles over the blue gutter, and destroys his white hat, what colour would his wine bottle label be?

Pay out Evans and pick him up, or take him as a rookie.

Both are better options than spending another year with a VFL player that isn't getting another contract.

i thought he played pretty well against us when we beat Adelaide earlier in the year. But there's a lot of duds who have had good games against us over the past decade.

ND2, ND3, and ND40 are all the space we have now.

If PSD2, a DFA, or ND53 have a talent that we want - we will have to delist a contracted player.

Clubs are reticent to do this but I think it is a necessity now to at least remove one more player from the Primary List.

Is that accounting for the delisting of Blease, Strauss & Tapscott?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
