The point is the inconsistency is an absolute joke for a so called "professional" sport.

Simple fact is he CHOSE to bump a player 7 meters from the ball with the intent to throw him off balance and prevent him from impacting the game's next contest. He elected to jump off the ground and as a result made contact with the head and caused Selwood to bleed. This action took Selwood out of the game for at least 5 minutes, during which time North capitalized with a goal.

And this sniping little turd, great a player as he is, has form. Got no sympathy for him whatsoever.

But as usual the AFL just make the rules up as they go.

Insufficient force and Selwoods testemony and medical records saying that he goes off with the blood rule so often and has so much scare tissue on his eyebrow that would cause it to bleed for way longer then a normal person. Well that's the jist of it anyway
