What?!!!
Someone who is not a speculative draft pick, a VFL superstar or a depth player who can't get a game at another club?
This cannot stand! I say we go to AAMI Park tonight with loud speakers and put an end to this travesty!

it's the filth who are pushing him out

no way they would keep him now

I agree with the sentiment - that their keenness to be rid of him works in our favour - but if he's contracted then the PSD is not an option is all I'm saying.

Agreed, which is why Buckley's kind of an idiot. Roos went to great lengths over the last few months to talk up Clark and Frawley. I'm sure behind closed doors he holds very different opinions, but publicly you need to talk up the currency of your players. Works to your advantage in any trades.

if they insist on overs and no-one deals, what do you think they would do?

not play him but pay his salary?

their bargaining position is not so great

we shouldn't need to pay overs

Its like the Left and Right Ball situation.... No way known would he even consider us!

So what does he do says categorically and emphatically .. he will either go to Collingwood or stay outa footy for a year. result

Collingtoothless got him.

I think Heritier if not contracted then goes down the same path therefore rejecting each and every other overture, which sounds like what he has exactly done!

AA Premiership players don't grow on trees!!

Lumumba is contracted for next year. He cannot go into the PSD. We must do a deal with the Filth, who will most definitely try and screw us. But Paul Roos is a very smart man, do not underestimate his ability to play the game, and Taylor knows first hand how the Filth work.

That can hardly be bad bb

Didnt say it WAS a bad thing :)

Trade value will depend greatly on where Billy Stretch gets taken.

If there's no Mitch in the deal, and Billy's taken in the 3rd round, I'd expect it would probably be our 2nd and 4th round picks, for Lumumba and the Pies' 3rd rounder.

Never been a Huge fan of Harry O, but he can play...

I just hope he doesn't rabbit on like Ned Flanders every second day!!

Roos wants him so i am ok with that...All Australian Premiership Player at 27....5 years left...could be a great move.

At least he is not an injured old Hack...We have had our fair share of those.

Captain Frank Grimes will now be nervous, as he should be.

This move helps the midfield & forward line as much as the back line IMO...... Here's a bloke who can run off half back & deliver long to a one on one contest giving the forwards a bloody chance for once by bypassing the midfield completely. I wasn't a fan of Harry O or Lumumba, have always thought he was suspect defensively & a bit overrated, although he's always been better than a number of our own. But I can't shake the feeling Roos will be able to get the best out of this bloke, I'm talking career best form out of him & people will talk about what a genius Roos is for picking him up. Here's hoping I'm right!!

Harry O played his best football when Maxwell looked after his man.

He aint a great defender.

I thought it was the other way around

still can't believe people, nope sorry, MFC supporters are bagging out a 27 year old All Australian backman that wants, and i stress WANTS to come to our football club. Which i remind you has been and still is the laughing stock of the AFL.
YOU ACTUALLY HAVE NO [censored] IDEA IF YOU THINK GETTING HIM IS A BAD IDEA.

Of course a win win would be nice, Malceski Hogan Lumumba half backline would be excellent. (With Tex At FF).

ill bite, if we play hogan in the back line who is our real ff? lol

Do some people think he will be played down back? I have heard people suggest it, but i dismissed out pretty quickly.

He's been a forward for much of his career to date, rated as the best young forward out of the last 2 years drafts (last year).

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
