WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA

My strategy would be to let Collingwood make all their other moves, delay a bit in the trade period, and then hopefully they still need to move him for everybody's sanity as well as their list balance after preparing for life without Harry...

Then at the last minute, once they have to move him... lowball them like crazy.

Pies have said they think it's best that Lumumba moves on for both parties, they have made their decision and whilst they wont off load him for nothing they really can't justify now asking for a high pick

"I think when you go through those times ... I mean I had to work out – H and I both had to work out – if we thought that we had a relationship that could continue," Buckley said earlier this year.

A year on, Buckley has decided that the contracted premiership player should look at his options to play elsewhere next year

When you compare a bloke like Buckley, who shoots his mouth off in press conferences and doesn't consider the consequences, and then you look at our bloke, they are world's apart. Roos is always angling at something, always very considered. We're very lucky.

Lumumba getting under Buckley's skin is worth extra brownie points.

I'm comfortable with HL, Roos is light years ahead of Buckley in terms of soft skills. And watching HL shepherd Barry Hall for Maxwell shows he's got a big heart (see 50 second mark) pick 23 or 28 not fussed. Vince was supposed to be a problem child, had a great year. Cross was solid for his games, Pederson and Dunn both re-born. Hell he even got a hug from the Dalai Lama, he's practically anointed. And can kick a 65m goal...

DC, a fan produced video? whats your point? he can play, he has heart, couldn't kill him with an iron bar, how is it ok for Brett Kirk to be alternative and not HL, it actually makes me think if he says he wants to come hear he might actually mean it.

I wonder where the name thing came from?

Was it his original birth name, or did he make it up himself?

Funny.....as I was typing this I was thinking of how many times the Collingwood fans would have discussed exactly the same topic.

Far beyond their intellectual capacity I would imagine - many probably didn't even notice the name change

"the prince... the one who will have the last laugh , and is gifted"

lol this bloke is hilarious

hilarious maybe - I just hope he don't really take himself too seriously

The Beams deal has just gone through. Beams for picks 5 & 25 and some other Lions player i have never heard of.

Apparently, this will allow this 5 team mega deal to go ahead.

Not officially?

Frightening thought that Collingwood have worked their way into pick 5!

and they got ripped off

Losing a proven superstar for draft picks is hilarious, and they wont get any of Petracca, Brayshaw or McCartin

I love it

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
