Signed up seven kid members to the club yesterday.

Three of whom were new-born sons of mates of mine - fathers all support the Crows.

Get Danger and we've got these boys for life.

That said, it'll be bloody hard to dislodge Danger from Adelaide. But everyone knows that.

As an aside, and I've posted it before, but my son is the youngest ever member of this club. In its entire history. Signed him up as soon as I found out his sex and could give him a name - he was 20 week fetus at the time.

His favourite player is Bernie Vince. Well, I reckon it is - he can't talk yet.

Interesting we haven't got pick 3 yet. Still a possibility Chip runs off to the Hawks for a smaller contract than envisaged, after all they can guarantee the next grand final appearance. Maybe then we get shafted and thebHawks yet again get what they want for zippo!

I am sure this would make the AFL happy. We may complain but they don't listen.

I was reading that before - nothing surprising about their answer. I can see the Crows being stubborn and backing themselves in to keep him.... but there would have to be that nagging doubt in the back of their mind after losing 5-6 key players in the last few years for not much in return. Unless Danger says he wants out, which will mean the Crows get compensated, then I don't think he'll go anywhere.

Interesting quote that 'they would be staggered' if Dangerfield wanted to leave the club. That implies they aren't totally convinced that D. does want to stay.

How so? Doesn't that mean they would be totally surprised if he left, suggesting right now they don't believe he wants out?

If we get Dangerfield, I'll get my first ever membership (100%) as well. Our membership will basically explode if we land Danger.

Yeah with a lot of bandwagoners.

Both Noble & Mahoney are basically putting it back on Danger. Crows have to back him in until he actually says he leaving the club.

Dangerfield isn't under any pressure, he still has a year to run.

Adelaide are the ones who should be seriously considering this offer.

The fact the Crows have came out and said they'd refuse to even look at the offer - tells me everything.

Dangerfield doesn't even need to comment, nor would he be desperate to get home, he is under no pressure at all.

This Dangerfield to Dees is just a beat up, mostly just internet gossip.

Interesting position Dangerfield is in, decide to go now and get best deal for Adelaide Football Club (but have to go to MFC, but get LOADs of CASH) or

Wait a year enduring reams of speculation before waltzing to a power club and screwing the AFC with average compo.

Key seems to be Clubs ability to convince Dangerfield of Roos ability to orchestrate a rapid rise next year..

Bingo! Jaded. I have it on gord authority, we have JSelwood on the hook.

That would make one player I know very happy to have him on board.... Would be nice to have Selwood next year, we can only dream.

To me this sounds like Danger is almost certainly on the move. Firstly there is no way that Conners has not spoken to Danger in the last two weeks....... an out and out lie. Secondly Conners failed to commit Danger to Adelaide. Thirdly this is exactly the same language used for Clark, Frawley, Rivers, Scully. "Clark loves the MFC"...... PLEASE!

I think I heard that conversation, not knowing who was being interviewed, but I heard that statement, & the speaker did a Freudian Slip saying Danger is very happy at Collingwood,,, ah at Adelaide... he went on to say.

is there a 3 way or 4 way going on here?

Who would want to go to Collingwood apart from Clark?

nothing will get done till Frawley is gone and we get that pick

this could be why now the afl has said the compensation

picks will be done once the player confirms he is leaving and the deal is done

rather than later

as it was going to hold up many trades

This is at a point now where if Frawley actually stays he will be forever blamed for us not being able to trade for Dangerfield.

Probably best that James shoots thru.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
