Why should they stop whinging ? I think the point is that just because they got exactly what the system dictated, it doesn't make the system right.

Forget the system and ask yourself this - in what universe is Frawley worth pick 3 (probably) but Franklin only worth pick 19 ?

Adding to Biggestred's response, the point is we got a Round 2 pick for Sylvia, a former No. 3 pick whilst Hawthorn received a Round 1 pick for Franklin. Also, as Premiers they had more depth than us [as Cellar-dwellers] so occassionally the AFL looks at things objectively!

Not that I care for the Hawks but anyone can suggest that Hawks weren't right royally screwed is beyond me. They weren't screwed from within the FA system but by the design of the system itself.

Let's face it, anything that promotes equalisation will be perceived by the big clubs as screwing them. And it will be too. Almost by definition.

No that's not the question. Of course they will only think of themselves, that's why the commission was put in place and the AFL placed outside of club interests.

The real questions are will the AFL do what they are commissioned to do, will they ever act with the integrity they always talk about, will they make the right decisions in the interest of the game, or will the self interest of the commissioners and senior AFL people override all else.

Dusty potentially is a ........ high risk. That is part of the potential equation. As a player his future potential is high, unfortunately for him the no fw policy says that potentially he is a very high risk player, which reduces his overall score.

Clark has enormous potential to the right club if he is alright. The potential to take them to a top 4 position at minimum. He also has potential to be a total bust. I hope we play hard ball on this. We hold all the cards here.

Reading this and seeing what is happening at the moment with Mitch Clark is a disgrace.. Imagine if Collingwood invested all this time, 1st round pick and money into Clark and teams were trying to poach him to join after coming out of retirement?
