Post Match Discussion - Never in doubt

Cheap cliche out of a John Wayne western!

You better believe it or yer dead where ya stand....

Currently wiping the egg off my face after potting Kent's inclusion earlier in the game.

Great effort by Kent, amazing.

Lyndyn Dunn is an absolute gun.

You were fierce on him early!

Good to see you put your hand up though.

Kent just has something special about him, I think Roosy sees it. Rarely loses a 1 on 1, such a good trait to have.... Steve Tingay style.

I was just letting off some steam in the Gameday thread during the deplorable first half

I said the game was over and if we somehow won id leave the forum

The good news is Im not going anywhere as this forum needs me

GO DEMONS

A man is only as good as his word...

Remind me never to trust you

Dunn - 147 Supercoach points, when does any defender get that many points?

For some reason I've always liked him.

You also said it was the second time in two weeks Roos has been out coached... you repeatedly stated we had not improved from the Neeld days... you are gutless.

And going by the second last sentence above, you have to be Yze_Magic!

And to top it off the collywobbles lost.

That will make u even happier!

Yes - my husband was pretty miserable but I have to give credit to him. He watched the last quarter with me and was rapt we beat that team of "scumbags". I am feeling quite smug at the moment though!

Woops - just accidentally sent a text message to a former friend telling her how happy I am and that she follows a team of drug cheats.

I really don't care - just so happy!!

Simple, just text her back, apologising for accidentally sending such a forthright & honest text to her. ^_^

.... this forum needs me

...this seems an egocentric statement. The Dees get an awesome win and you post this tripe - it isn't all about you.

Can we play in white all the time, I believe all of our wins this year have been in white.

nahhhh, would've won by 6 goals in the red'n'blue strip

Dunn's current form is staring to remind me of Glen Jakovich.

Admire your slimy backtrack HH.

He's leaving snail trails all over the forum.

Anyway guys today calls for honest man love. If we were all in a bar now we'd be hugging and bum slapping. In fact, I'm so happy, I'd give Stuie a feel up!!!

You must be realy happy then.

I really enjoyed the ABC coverage as it was. I don't listen to the radio often, but golly their commentary leaves Derwaine and co for dead.

As I said in another thread watching the game on my iPad with the radio (ABC) through my iPhone was perfectly in sync, it was great!

So happy for the players.... Just 12mths ago they were embarrassed by 145pt loss! The club was going nowhere & most of the players wanted out!

How times have changed.... Players love the coach & coach believes in them!

I was just kidding

Im just enjoying the win, not sure why people took one dumb post I made in the gameday thread so literally. it was just a frustrating point in the game

Lets discuss the game

Go Dees

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
