Beamer was a THREE club player.

True but until the move to Brisbane, he was always going to be remembered as a Demon (albeit one who was known for some of his post 6 pm antics) as his time with Geelong wasn't worth considering in the totality of his career. He will probably still be remembered as a Demon but one who walked out on the club because he was angry at what it had become.

Hawks list manager Graham Wright now on Trade Radio: "Frawley is contracted for 4 years, we're hopeful he can play 5 to 6."

To me this DOES suggest a 'play-on " clause.

Only if the player decides to take advantage ... :blink:

no they are fine tuning the formula on the run.....................normal afl practice................nothing odd here

More like making up the formula on the run to get the result they want, puzzle over whether the formula can be "spun", and if not, return to step 1 ... :blink:

People forget, it's not purely a money related thing.. It's age, player profile, achievements etc. we're losing the only All Australian player on our list.. We'll be compensated fairly, even if 17 other clubs sook about it.

Who does Mark Jamar play for then?

Pick 3 is nothing surer.

I want to believe that, I really do.

But years of following AFL has reinforced to me that nothing is a certainty in this sport. Especially with the current administration

I used to find it odd seeing Melbourne players in opposition jumpers but seeing Frawley in the Hawthorn jumper didn't have any impact on me.

Apologies in advance for the juvenile comment but...

Seeing Frawley in a Hawthorn jumper just reinforced to me that we have have one of the nicest jumpers in the league. Check out the mug on him. I honestly never noticed when he was in red and blue. No hiding in that abomination.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
