I said early in the week i felt it was our game to lose, and after watching the game i still don't feel as though we were outplayed, we have improved so much but it's impossible to win games if you don't kick straight, skill errors can be forgiven, missing the amount of shots we did tonight is the reason we aren't singing the song right now.

very happy with how a few of our boys played, Jack Watts looked like a Superstar, Vince is a huge pickup, Toumpas and Trengove were impressive, Nathan Jones looks even better if that was possible.

I'm still trying to shake my anger re Frawley. He spilled a hand pass streaming into goal just as we looked to get the run on. Thought it was pivotal.

Howe and Fitz needed to stand up with the lack of forward options. I'll let Fitz off, but Howe had a shocker.

Some poor skill errors didn't help as well, and we seemed to panick a lot.

We need to learn how to brush and side step tackles better in contested situations. The Saint seemed to move the ball quickly from contests and back their teammate to run onto the loose ball or to evade the tackler.

The injury to Tommy Mac also didn't help at all

I hope everyone can now see we will never be a good side with the likes of Pedersen, Spencer and Byrnes in the side.

Howe needed to step up.

Can't remember getting one holding the ball.

Not impressed with tonight - only good thing was Watts.

I HATE THIS CLUB! SACK ROOS! BWWWWARRRRGH!

O.K. Don't get too excited.

The truth is that there was one reason and one reason only why we lost.

There was a grand total of zero up forward. Howe went missing and with him any chance we would win the game.

We had more possessions (60 more), more scoring shots and more inside 50s.
We clearly need a target up forward. Even one of Dawes, Clark or Hogan would have made a huge difference tonight.
Pedo, while a good trier, isn't of Dawes' or Clark's class.
Disappointing to lose but clearly the problems are fixable.

My kingdom for some fit tall forwards.

So true Song but I wish we had taken those chances and not gifted a few. Facking, facking Frawley

We also could have had the blokes who were there kick straight. For all the talk about a lack of a forward line, we only needed a few of those easy ones to be converted. No excuses, forward line targets or not.

Sometimes I seriously wonder if there is a curse on this club. Tonight is just another occaision.

So many get table shots for goal. They pong them from everywhere. Our only key tall forward gets knocked out. Our best defender for their best forward is lame. I could go on.

Having said that. Pederson is an absolute liability.

From where I was sitting he got to the ball but could never get 10cm on his opponent - still slow as last year.

Most of his disposals where useless - handballs whilst getting tackled

Should of traded pick 9 or drafted Sheed or Dunstan.

You're a clown, we haven't seen Salem play, i know very knowledgeable people who rate his much higher than those two, even higher than Josh kelly.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
