As people have mentioned, overrated, very overrated. I'd much rather us look at getting Fyfe for 800k per year. Gawn will step up and so will the other Max, King, we'll be right with our rucks.

But if they clear the space in the salary cap and lose either of these two (or a player like Mundy) then they will have $$ to throw about at the end of 2015

I'd advise every club to put in an offer. He's probably not leaving but may as well up the price they will pay him.

Josh Kennedy is a legit top key forward. And they have some very nice solid midfielders in Masten, Selwood, Shuey. But so far Nic Nat is the only player on their list who really looks like a game breaker. Which isn't that amazing we don't even have one player who can claim that and a lot of clubs have one at best. But my point remains Nic Nat at this stage is their great hope. If West Coast take themselves out of future serious quality FA discussion by paying Nic Nat over 1 mil per year then that's great for everyone.

Yes, he might still come good but I maintain that a person's remuneration is usually directly related to how highly he is ranked and therefore, he's overrated.

I think Nic Nat is a star but I am not sure you want to pay anyone 10% of your salary cap.

I would go hard after Blicavs from Geelong instead.

I think with the club debeloent over the past few seasons, we could have picked any of Dangerfield, Fyfe, Natanui.. And all would be less the footballers that they are now had they arrived at Melbourne. In which case we would probably be talking about the athleticism of watts running around subiaco, blease tearing up the gabba and the like. I know there have been se disastrous selections, but poor development is the backbone of our struggles now.
