Campbell Brown sacked!

This should go further then just sacking him, he should be charged with assault. It's not much different to the Nick Darcy. I hope he is convicted, sued, what if he fell backwards like hooks, no we do not need this kind of person on the streets, let alone at our club.

I was thinking along the same lines - he is probably lucky that he got out of LA without charge as they are a bit more serious over there that here. He would probably have been locked up in a downtown LA lockup with a load or druggies and dealers which would have given him a chance to show just how tough he is.

Not sure if he can be charged here for what he (allegedly) did in LA though.

I thought you would have to have a "Victim" to make a complaint to charge him......Don't think May would want to do that.....

Not a lawyer or a cop, but I don't think a complaint needs to be made to have someone charged with a crime, which is what this is (allegedly), but a complaint certainly helps.

Should he choose he could always mount a civil claim against the thug. (By the way, saw his dad, and what a great example of humanity he is, on TV today abusing reporters with a string of expletives). Like father, like son I guess.

But my question really raised the issue of jurisdiction for an assault (allegedly) committed overseas.

I think it's funny how the bloke with the inside word from his sister who is such close friends with Brown, was missing all the details about Rihanna or May not even seeing who'd hit him...

Doesn't sound like you got much of an "inside word" mate...

Sounds like your sister is feeding you bull****, or Brown is feeding it to her, whether you like it or not.

This is quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen. Mal brown with a language warning attached

Mal is all class when speaking to a woman. At least we know where Brown Dog gets his manners from.

I wouldn't like some random person turning up at my place, asking question about my kids ether.... Total invasion of privacy by that journo there... She deserved every bit, that mal gave her....

No, he was entitled to tell her to get off his property. She was doing her job, you can't call a judge a **** because he finds you guilty of stealing. That language is disgusting, whilst the video is funny for shock value, your view is simply wrong.

lol... Id say your view is wrong.... The man is at home... Not in a court? or in an interview... At his home, he can say what he likes... They are the ones who filmed him without consent, when they were on his property... Invading peoples homes searching for stories is simply wrong and offensive...

Also, it is possible to call a judge a ****.... Might not help your case much though... Maybe you could turn up at his home after your case is heard? And give he/she a mal brown mouthful...lol...

Back to Brown.

Suns offered him an absurd deal- $s & years. He took it..........

Hawks got a 3rd round compensation and were very pleased to get it.

Has the penny dropped? Brown, IMHO, is not best 22 in any team in AFL.

And his father, Mal, was/is a very scary guy.....lol

I did not know he was Mal's son

This explains a lot.

Mal Brown has always been an East Perth/Claremont/South Fremantle FC's DH

No wonder Campbell is the way he is with Mal as his Dad.

East Perth, where Mal had spent most of his time, is the Collingwood of the WAFL. It is a club that attracts so many DH

I did so enjoy watching them getting flogged in the 2013 WAFL grand final

Mal got banned from being allowed on the ground in the WAFL when he was coaching, so he got a cherry picker to lift him over the fence so he could still talk to his players. Rules or any kind of boundary just do not apply to that guy.

There's always a goose who will try to justify anything. All Mal Brown did was make himself look a crude thug and did his cause more harm than good. He has had plenty of experience in dealing with the press which only makes him more of an idiot.

Eloquent and to the point.

Anyone that calls my phone with a survey gets the same treatment.

Tabloid TV presenters are the pits and they need a good belting, regularly.

Mal chose his words beautifully.

So nobody here, finds it wrong. that reporters can just turn up at your house, uninvited and film you when you don't want them too?

Surely you guys can see how this is wrong?

Regardless of whether Mal Brown is a dick head or not, he shouldn't be subjected to home invasion... Because his dick head son, did a dick head thing...

Plenty of people find it wrong, tatu, just read the thread. The thing is, it's a staple of tabloid current affairs, the self-righteous pursuit of people who don't want to be "interviewed", and it always finds an audience. You don't have to watch dumbed-down, nasty TV, but it's a reliable avenue for advertisers to reach particular demographics, so it's not going away.

It's disappointing that we haven't seen Rihannas Labia come out and make a statement about this.

If she stands behind Brown on this then I refuse to look at her speeches again.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
