Feel free to talk rubbish all you want, in the TS BS thread. It's there especially for posters like you and your "humour".

And you make up rubbish threads that you want to MC like John Laws.

Fact is-you've made up news.

He's not sacked at this point in time.

He may well be,but you don't know that.

So this is rubbish.

Dazzler, I'm not saying he isn't a thug. My point IS he is better than Nicholson and would toughen up a club known for its bruise free football.

I loved when Gold Coast complained about our strategy on Gary Ablett late this year. I would also love to be accused of unsociable football just as the hawks have been labeled

The real comedy here is your attempt to blow me down, when all I'm saying he is a better footballer than at least one footballer on our list. He is better than more than one. Yes I would like Brown to replace Nicho on our list

Pickett was known for his bumps on players who were not in the play. The AFL changed the rules and Choco Williams is quoted as saying that Pickett would be ruled Out of the game as a result of his actions on field. He was known as a 'thug', yet Demon supporters loved his attack when wearing the red and blue. He was hated before hand. He may not have been successful at our club, but he was recruited back then to toughen us up. In an era Yze and Johnstone were our elite midfielders. We all know they weren't tough.

Grinter was loved and he walked the line too

Wrong again stuie, the 'Bump' rule changed as a result of Pickett.

Brown is a better player than Nicho. Yes Brown is a thug on the field, but I would like to see a MFC player (or few) who intimidated the opposition. Dunn is the only player who tries to intimidate and it embarrassing. He ain't scary.

That's right because it was in the rules at the time, he wasn't going outside the rules.

Moonshadow, look at Brereton's rap sheep, then move onto Leigh Matthews (Neville Bruns)

Lloyd, was a sniper!

Either way, I would have Brown on the list over Nicho. I'm not overly emotionally connected to his past.

Bruise free football!! Brown could show a few how to harden up. Plus he kicks goals

Don't remember any of these guys taking out a team mate off the ground, also would think they were just a little better at the game than Brown.

He king hit his own young team mate. Twice.

The end.

Oh, OK, stuie has called an end to this by claiming victory. It's all subjective and opinions big fella. It ain't meant to be a victory

From Hun article:

Campbell Brown rap sheet...

2004 - Suspended four matches and fined $5200 after the infamous Hawthorn-Essendon "Line in the Sand" game.

2007 - Fined $15,000 for giving misleading evidence at the AFL Tribunal after charges against Chris Judd were dropped.

2008 - Suspended for two games for charging Carlton's Matthew Kreuzer in the NAB Cup. Misses the season start.

2009 - Labels Matthew Lloyd a "sniper" and vows retribution after the Bombers captain KOs Hawk Brad Sewell.

2009 - Reportedly offered to Port Adelaide in return for Shaun Burgoyne but the story is quickly shot down by Hawthorn.

2010 - Joins AFL expansion club, Gold Coast Suns.

2011 - Suspended for four weeks after elbowing Western Bulldog Callan Ward in the face and a high bump on Barry Hall.

"Whether you call it crossing the line, I've done it my whole career and sometimes I do it and I try not to. I think I've got a lot better over the years, but that's just the way I play and if I didn't play that way, I probably wouldn't be playing AFL footy," Brown said after the game.

2011 - Axed from the Suns' leadership group after being involved in a bar fight in Thailand.

2012 - Suspended six weeks for high bump on young Crow Aiden Riley in the final game of the year.

Said Brown at the time: "I don't think it's something I can temper too much because I think if I do, I'll be useless out there, because it's one of my main attributes."

2013 - Suspended four weeks for rough conduct against James Strauss. He will miss the opening round of 2014 for the third time in the last four years.

2013 - Investigated over incident with teammate Steven May, that left the youngster with a broken jaw.

Should have got more for the Strauss incident considering his rap sheet and he challenged it.

Great logic used here.

Past stars of the game were also snipers... therefore... all snipers must be stars of the game!

Someone hand that man a Nobel Prize!

Machsy, I always read posts from you trying to up hold the integrity of this site. You hate a thread being derailed. Yet i just read in another thread you abusing another poster calling them a TOOL.

If you wanna give me a Nobel prize, forget the trophy and give me the money. Better yet, hold yourself to the same values you set for others.

What was the point to the quoted post? Cut to the chase nicely, you disagree! I get it, but don't belittle

I thought he should have, it looked a deliberate kick to me and he got off lightly.

Pickett had a very good year in 2006.

But that's despite the point, Pickett wasn't a thug and never took cheap shots, any heavy bumps/hits of his were always in play.

Gee I have a memory of him taking out Neitz with an elbow to the jaw put him in hospital circa 1997 or 98 that would have got him 6 to 8 nowdays. it was cheap as. I also remember the prelim final of 1998 against north and Steven Tingay lining up Pickett on the wing early on to deal out some revenge and Pickett pulling out big time. He was good at giving but not receiving. He came to us in 2006 and played some good footy but then basically stuffed us up the next year. Treated us like Shyte, let's face it but we gave him a send off on his final game!

Just read this thread and summarise as follows:

1) Cambell Brown is a better player than Nicholson

2) Brown kicked 3 goals against us in both games in 2013. Was too good for our defence.

3) wouldn't touch him with a 40 foot pole in terms of having him on our list.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
