I forgot how agile he is at ground level.

I hope the injury has not taken any of that away.

My worry is if Trengove missed out on 6 weeks last preseason and struggled all year because of it how long will it take Clark to return to full fitness. (would be a good one to ask Misson)

I am sure Mr Missen has a programme for him. And playing FF/CHF is a bit different (fitness wise) from the midfield.

Just get the bloody foot right.

Walker, Tippett, Pavlich, Nick Riewoldt, Franklin, Cloke and Josh Kennedy are all better. Clark plays some ripper matches but has a long way to go before he can be called anywhere near the best.

He will never be anyway because sadly for him, his career falls at a time when Jesse Hogan will be dominating the competition. He will be the best forward in the league.

Clark is better than all those players as a full forward - so perhaps I should've clarified Full Forward.

I give you Walker and Kennedy.

In fairness to Nick Riewoldt - he does not play your traditional FF role, so it's hard to compare, Riewoldt is absolutely at the top of the tree as far as CHF's go.

Pavlich fits in as a CHF/Mid, so I couldn't compare Clark with him.

But, you are right about Josh Kennedy, I'd have Clark and Walker just under Kennedy as dominant FF's.

If he plays 20 plus games next year and rediscovers his 2011 form I would back him in as well!

I was living in Sydney in 2012 and went to the game at the SCG where Howe took that mark. I walked away from that game with a massive man crush on Mr M. Clark. I was surrounded by moronic Sydney supporters and copped it all night but was very impressed with what i saw from the big man. It was the first time i saw him play apart from the highlight packages and thought he was what we needed. I hope he can keep himself fit for the whole season and provide us with that target up front and help Hogan develop.

It was a late afternoon game actually, so at least you only had to put up with them until early evening :-)... that was the first Dees game that my youngest son got to attend. Unfortunately Howe's mark and Clark's general play were the only good things to come out of that day; of course the other big disappointment (apart from the scoreline), was Jurrah's less than stellar return from injury (in fact, am I right in thinking he may have been re-injured in that game?).

Sorry, I was unaware of this history (and still am)

The original Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were a Fremantle player, a Brisbane player, a Carlton player, and a guy who finished his career so brain damaged that he found himself wandering around a footy field with no idea how he got there or what was happening.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
