Had these two errors this morning:

On log in:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 15990784) (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/demonlan/public_html/forums/admin/applications_addon/ips/ccs/sources/functions.php on line 661

On "Start New Topic":

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

In both cases, clicking back and completing the action again solved the issue.

We are well aware of these issues and are currently in the process of looking into a solution which at the moment looks like significantly increasing our costs per month.

That's a shame, everything seemed fine up until recently :(

It all runs fine when there are only a few hundred people on the site but once things get busy and we have over 500 people on at once then things start to bottleneck.

Fwiw...errors seem to be pointing towards memory/server-cache

Could we be experiencing a good old fashioned hardware failure..? they do happen.

Is this server at someones own residence ? or on a server farm etc.

in my old life in IT its amazing how many faults are simply physical. ( and youd only find that after days proofing the software...lol )

ironically keep getting errors trying to post this ...lol

just asking :)

great job folks..

Bear with us. The wheels are in motion to move to a dedicated server which will increase the performance of this site. It's like trading some rookies for Ablett, Swan and Selwood.

It's a server problem. We are in the process of upgrading to solve this issue.

This should be fixed tonight when we move to a dedicated server.

I hate to keep harping on it but the new server is like 5 times more expensive than what we have been on in the past.

If you want to donate to the cause you can either donate here (http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/donate/) or take out a Demonland subscription here (http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/subscriptions/).

It seems to be only that thread. I have no idea why. Forum Footy really does have a problem.

I will defer that one to Nasher.

I don't think it is related to the issues we were having the other day. This seems to be a mysql database error.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
