He is the type of defender we need a quick hbf type that can kick run and carry defensive side got better this year and will most likely over time push onto a wing. Don't be so sure on the return to wa

If we release Craig from the last year of his contract we save $400,000 which we can use towards Swallow!

Reopening this thread 11 years on. Do you give the guy a 3 year contract (2+1 contingent on games played) ?

Looks to be back in shape and form. And The Couch mentioned Eagles are holding off contract talks. If Im Yeo question is do I want potential success and money (at Dees) or comfort and losses.

Would immediately add to our ball movement and is measurably better than Hugh McCluggage.

Always loved him as footy player.

Not a one club player, but feel the allegiance is strong and he’ll love handing the reins to Reid. He can always drop back to half back if his body holds up but his speed wains. Would love him to play for us but can’t see a way it eventuates. Would rather see us draft kids with our picks. Mids and Noah Yze.

We won't pay him what the Weagles are paying him.

At 31/32 and only averaging 10 games a year for the past four years the Weagles are right to hold off talks.

I'd rather someone with less miles on the clock.

Unfortunately you are correct, he would be the perfect replacement for Brayshaw.

could we offer him good $$ for 2 years.  We do desperately need that extra classy midfielder that Gus was.  Big hole in our side atm

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
