How much longer does this club let [censored] players like Sylvia and Watts hold it to ransom? Make threats and control the direction of the club?

2 blokes who struggled to get kicks against the worst side in the AFL - oh wait thats the Dees - the second worst side in the AFL

No matter your point of view of where this club as that - surely a couple things are obvious to all

This club has zero leadership

The playing group is ahead of iteslef - I'm not out to pick on Watts but what has he done to demand he know who the coach is? This isn't a pont agains Watts it's to show this club is weak as [censored] just like its perfomance today

Overall the club is going nowhere

I support PJ as he'll make decisions that will be ruthless - he will demand success - The MFC fire Neeld because players threatened to leave - those same players can't play for shite (Sylvia & Watts) nd this club continues to fold to these demands haha what a joke

I will clarify my point that Neeld wasn't right coach for the club but someone needed to be hard with these players... how much more crap does this club need to put up with before people realise [censored] weak players need to be let go and the club needs to rebuild (Dunn, Sylvia, Jamar, Davey etc etc ect)

Anyway enjoy the embarrassment that is this club - keep firing coaches and blaming everyone else - I don't like picking on single players as there are plenty in the [censored] weak group but Lynden Dunn is the poster child of why this club is crap

It is obvious that the MFC needs to replace its players list. But not until the Club has people who knows what type of players to recruit.

To employ the right Football Manager & Coach can take control of this.

At present the players do not rate our Football Admin. It's wrong but a fact

We need new admin before we sack the list.

The teachers are wrong not the students.

Sylvia was the one player GWS wanted to shut down yesterday. And they did. The bottom line is though - he is one of our better players and we need to re-sign him asap.

The one player they wanted to shut down was Jones - they tried 4 guys on him, but they couldn't. Maybe Sylvia was second priority but he wilted when he should have stood up.

It is a player's right to hold off negotiations on his contract until such time as he sees fit to sign it. If you call that "holding the club to ransom," then that's fine.

Silvia wilted Oh NOOOOOOOO what a surprise!

At least Sylvia had an excuse for playing badly... Was at the Casino until at least 2.30am Friday morning.

That was the final straw for me, he can f#*k off.

On what basis do you make that claim?

Silvia has always been overrated by supporters on this site. One incident yesterday, where the ball was at his feet and he didn't know it was there shows what I have been saying for a while now, he has little to no awareness and no peripheral vision.

This problem added to what 'stuie' has pointed out above has held back his career. He has never had the potential to be a super star but he could have been a good player.

I am starting to wonder if Sylvia and Watts although not the cause are not helping the culture problem at the club, both very high draft picks, neither play to their full ability, neither show any form of leadership, or seem to take any sort of responsibility.

Sylvia would be a loss simply because he is a big bodied midfielder, but i have no problem with us trading watts to add to the midfield

Some good discussion here... My whole point of this thread was once again the MFC has changed direction again and the main reason was player retention

Lets not hide from the fact that Sylvia & Watts were at the top of that list

Wow didn't they impress on Saturday - makes me warm inside knowning my club is bending over backwards for these players.

Can I lastly clarify that I don't think losing Sylvia or Watts is a good idea - and the reason is we have NO one else... The saddest fact is this club has to roll over to their demands otherwise we have to do a full rebuild

Lastly get behind Jackson - it might not happen over night but he'll demand success... 2013 for me highlights this is a soft club and [censored] has to change.... A good first step would be not bending over for players who demand a lot and deliver nothing

What's your excuse and when will you?

Tell your mate at the Casino to do the same.

Prove it or you should go and have a spell as I did for repeating rumours on Watts.

We all have to listen to you whinge about rule-breakers.

You have broken the COC-Looking forward to no Stuie for a while.

Absolutely..The club must put forward solid and reasnoable contracts...2-3 years max....Take it or leave it.

Big difference between first hand reports and the rubbish you clearly made up about Watts a while back.

Considering I'm passing on a sighting rather than made up personal scandals I'm sure even an intellect of your limited stature can see the difference.... If you ask a grown up to explain it.

Some would say it's fair enough these blokes would be considering their options, i tend to agree in col's case, he isn't going to be part of our next flag, he has given us ten years service and all that.

On the other hand, both these blokes have the ability to stand up, put in the effort and make a dramatic difference to this side, neither show leadership, willingness to dig in and work hard.

maybe it would be best for them to move on if they aren't willing to dig in and do what's required and what we want/need them to do it.

If you didn't see it yourself you're spreading a Stuie rumour.

Whether it's a UFO or Col at the big house the morning before a game it's still just a Stuie sighting.

Unlike you I wont go crying to the mods because a rule has been broken.

Just stop your schoolgirl schtick.

Correct. Unless you see it yourself it is hearsay.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
